Gross but funny

Ok I realize that people may not want to discuss this and if I offend, I sincerely apologize.

I'm definitely a fan of Atkins and all the benefits it brings. I'm never stuffed and have higher energy and am rarely gassy at all (I used to be very active in this department before the switch).

HOWEVER, once in a great while I have gas that could stop a train. The smell is horrible and it's so heavy in the air that you can almost taste it. I can make an entire floor of a house unliveable. This is gas that I NEVER had when eating a non-LC diet.

Does anyone else have the occasional "supergas" and are there any LC foods known to cause that sort of thing?

Again, my apologies for bringing in a gross topic.

You know it is so fitting that you posted this, 2 days ago, I had the supergas, my poor DH was literally running out of our bedroom, I was laughing so hard I was crying. He attacked me with a can of airfreshner. I know this is too much info..but just thought it would be fun to share.

Have you been having a lot of artificial sweeteners... or, eggs maybe? I think that combo can be toxic for some.

I get the opposite effect.
I'd say low carb definitely suits my gut. And I eat heaps of eggs.
BUT....I do not eat any of these low carb sweets and fake sugars, fizzy drinks and syrups. Or low carb bars or pasta. Just fresh ingredients.

Me too. I hardly ever have gas since eating this way.

I agree with you guys about not gettin gas very often eating LC. Unfortunately, on the rare occasion that I do, it can stop a train...
