down 24 lbs since 2/18/2008
I have lost 24 lbs since I started but being under 20g carbs for almost six weeks is starting to take its toll. If I choose to make a poor food choice how much will it hinder my progress. I really want some pizza. I have eaten everything from steaks, chicken, king crab legs, pastrami, corned beef, tuna steaks. I feel now that I am working out more I need some more carbs. Can someone comment or shed some insight....THANKS!

there are many low carb pizza recipes in the recipe room on here. or look for Cleo's Cauliflower crust pizza. also great going on the loss. I would not go off and eat real pizza with out trying the alternate first. Why mess with your loss if you can eat a lower carb pizza.

Congrats on the loss! Doesn't it feel so good?! I haven't been tempted... yet. Then again, I have soooo much weight to lose
It'll be a long time before I allow myself any treats like that.KUTGW ![]() |

When I want spaghetti, I throw my favorite cooked meats into some no-sugar-added spaghetti sauce. It is the "ultimate meatlovers". Add some cheese and you're set.
There's only one pizza I'd go off plan for, and they're 2000 miles away. |

Here's a GREAT low carb pizza recipe. My hubby loves it too. 1/2 cup Ragu Pizza Sauce - you can use less if desired. 1/2 cup Shredded Mozzerella Cheese 2 oz No Carb Italian Sausage 2 oz No Carb Pepperoni 1/4 inch slice of onion cut into pieces 1/4 bell pepper cut into pieces 2 medium mushrooms sliced Cover bottom of 9" pie pan with pizza sauce & cheese. Layer with sausage, pepperoni, onion, pepper, & mushrooms. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Approx 10 net carbs for entire pizza. I usually eat half and save the other half for another meal... ![]()
