Starting again also.... with difficulty :/
there was a time in my life that i was overweight and finally had it. I went on Atkins and lost so much weight and had finally got down to my goal weight of 170. I was drinking so much water, taking vitamins, and working out daily and was super strict on my carb limits... Then i started getting into the low carb products and even though i didnt gain i stopped losing weight then eventually i was happy at my weight and stopped doing Low carb and gained about 30 pounds. Been doing half assed atkins off and on for a few years now and im sick of it. I feel like the Lc products have curropted me and now i cant go back to plain old strict atkins anymore :/
Anyone in the same boat as me? I know what i have to do... strict induction and treat the Lc products as if they are illegal but its easier said then done. |

welcome back to atkins
hang in there and forget what you know about the success of doing the plan so you will not know you can mess up and restart nor can eat that frankenfood and still be in ketosis and you should do fine. use the net carb count of total minus only fiber and you should be fine cause frankenfood icecream actually has more carbs then the high carb real stuff does if you count that way. |

Here are some links that will help you to make scrumptious food, and even bread and pizza, all while avoiding frankenfoods...

She's revolutionized the Atkins revolution rolls, there's a link to the recipe in post 11 of this thread... Uses for oopsie rolls (recipe thread) She's found a way to have deep fried mozzarella sticks and breaded chicken that's induction friendly... Do you hate pork rinds? So What. Get in here And her latest breakthrough is induction friendly pizza and lasagne... You won't believe it's cauliflower pizza crust! http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/ma...-get-here.html Just get creative - you'll do great!!!

Hi and welcome. I can totally relate. I have been doing" half askins" for months now and it has gotten me nothing but weight gain. I too months ago started buying all of the atkins "foods" and low carb junk and it just allowed me to over eat "legal" stuff. I never lost while munching on bars or candy bars or the shakes because I still ate everything else with it. For me I have found that I have to limit that stuff. Really limit it. Like a "treat" once in a great while or only for those times when I am on the run.
I too am ready to start over. I mean to REALLY start over and do this clean not "half askins" anymore. I did this years ago and was very strict and stuck to it by the book and exercised and the whole bit and I lost a ton of weight and looked great to due to the exercise. I need to focus on that again and just do it. I'm in it with ya. By the way, what are franken foods? I ahave always wanted to ask and feel dumb not knowing.

Well congradulations for coming back. What matters is that you are back on track and looking forward. Now you have more knowledge then before now you know to stay away from low carb products.
