Induction - Headache, Nausea and Tiredness

I've been doing induction 2 days. By the end of the first day (last night), I had the most painful headache, I was nausea, and I was so tired I could barely walk. Today I've been tired but without the headache (thank God) and the nausea. According to my Ketostix, I'm in moderate ketosis already, which really rocks but I'm wondering if this is normal and if it is, when will it go away? I'm 35, 5'8, and 207.4 lbs (yesterday I was 209 lbs so I'm thinking it's just water weight right now).

Thanks for any help you can give me.

It's the "induction flu".
It's your body going through sugar/carb & caffeine withdrawels. It gets better. Everytime I go off this WOE and restart induction I know I will have a migraine for a week and do nothing but sleep. It will pass. Hang in there. Eat plenty of protein and fats and drink tons of water.Good luck.

make sure you are getting all the vits and minerals you need to as this is a natural diuretic plan and it is easy to get low in electrolytes following the induction foods choices.

hang in ther you will adjust and when you see your day 15 weight loss you are going to be amazed at how well you feel and are doing.

I say this all the time, but it bears repeating "REMEMBER HOW THIS FEELS, WRITE IT DOWN IF YOU HAVE TO!!! IT HELPS SOOOOO MUCH TO NOT CHEAT AND THROW YOURSELF OUT OF KETOSIS AND GO THROUGH FEELING THAT WAY AGAIN!!!"

Hello New here. I have tried Stallmens but got really constipated and scared!!
So, after a week now going to try this one. I did lose 6 pounds but gained it all back.
I was just wanting to know if coffee will stall me or keep me from losing?
I also started taking benefiber as I do not want to go there again!! (lol) ;(

I don't know what helps. I usually just know that I am going to feel like junk and I kinda plan my week around that. It is a bit easier for me being that I am a stay at home mom. I can lay down with the ice pack on my head. I am not sure what the others do about the headaches. I never got the nausea but definately the headaches and the never ending hunger pangs.. BUT, they did go away after about a week. Good luck and hang in there.

Welcome to atkins

you can take any OTC pain med you normally use as long as it doesn't have caffeine.
Caffeine is an insulin stimulating chemical in the body and insulin is a fat storing hormone is why Dr Atkins said to give it up.

benefiber wasn't invented back when Dr Atkins wrote DANDR so you might want to contact your manufacturere and see if there are carbs in there that are not all fiber.

Dr Atkins recomended psyllium, flax seeds and wheat bran in DANDR chapter 11 induction rules.

Hang in

happy low carbing
