Need encouragement!

Hey guys. I've been doing atkins since the beginning of this year. I so far have lost 50 lbs. But I have a serious problem!!! I have been bouncing around the same 5-7 lbs for the past 3 months!!! I go from 191.5 to 194.2 and back to 191.8 and it's driving me absolutely nuts!!! Now... I do have to admit that I realize this yo-yo is my fault... See, what I do is, I'll be really strict for 4 days... and then I'll like take a bite of a lil this here, and that there... and yeah, I realize I'm doing it to myself.... sooo.... I'm just really trying to get back on track for GOOD!!!! I want to lose another 30 lbs and I'm ready!!! I just need encouragement.... I stopped visiting low carb friends a couple months ago and it made me realize just how supportive these message boards are!! Has any one else out there experienced the same frustration? I just want to know that I'm not alone!
I'm ready though! I weighed myself this morning (195.6) and I WILL NOT weigh myself until NEXT Tuesday, lol. I'm going to go put on some walking shoes and go do a exercise video (it's WAY too hot outside to walk!). So please wish me luck, and if you have any words of advice as far as getting out of my "slump" and getting motivated again, please, I'm all ears!!! Thanks so much for listening!! I definitely needed this!

Congrats on re-committing! You can do this!

Whenever I stall (often), I either do another 2 week induction, or at least a couple of days on protein only (IE: meat and eggs). I CONSTANTLY have to remind myself that it is for a limited amount of time, and that when I am done, the foods I love will still be there.

We can do this!

congrats on retaking control of your eating and exercise. I had many long stalls getting to goal weight but I hung in there and worked my Atkins to keep me shrinking. You can too but you have to be committed 100% to doing it no 4 days good and then off on a bite of .. days. If you need to keep yourself on track write down all the resaons you have for wanting/needing to shed those fat pounds. then make a list of all the reasons you don't and should be able to have those derailing foods. Keep those lists handy and reread them every day and every time you are tempted to have not legal for your phase foods. If you really got a reason great enough to have them that is more important then shedding the fat come post and hopefully folk can make you see the light about that false reasoning.

Happy low carbing

Thank you so much for all of your support!! I'm feeling really really good about myself! Yesterday I didnt have school in the morning, so I did a cardio work out before work for about 45 mins. Today I had school in the morning and I'm just about to go into work so i fit in about 30 mins of cardio! I really think that working out will help me to stay commited to this thing for real! I think that the big challenge for me will be on the days I dont have to work.... but I think if I spend at least an hour working out on the days I have off it will keep me motivated and on the right track!!!

the exercise sounds like a good plan for you and make friends with your tape measure so you can see the inches of fat you are burning off even when the scales don't validate your hard work.

Hey Dizzy, dont give up. Im having the same problem right now. My scale is stuck but I put on my shorts this morning that i havent been able to wear this summer because they were to snug So without a doubt ive lost but the scale hasnt caught up with me yet LOL. There are lots of reasons for the scale doing crazy things so i do not rely on it but how i feel. Although i totally want to see those numbers go down too. Hang in there hun.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of some of this hanging skin on my stomach area? Since I have lost weight it just hangs and looks terrible. If It will go away I could probably get into a smaller size jeans but I can't because of my large waist and stomach.
My hips are not to big at all, just my waist area so most my jeans are baggy in the butt so I can get them to fit in the waist.
Have you all had any of this problem after you have lost?

Pcola, how much have you lost? I havent experienced that problem yet.... but I am sooo afraid of it!!!! I'm afraid that when I get to my goal weight I'll have to get a tummy tuck or sumthin to actually look good naked! Hey, do you have a link to your group? Thanks so much for your support everyone!
