newbie here need help
hello, This is Ashley I'm fairly new to low carb, I did it a long time ago but my own version of atkins, so I'm doing it again trying to do it to a T like atkins says, I'm on induction now, I started induction Tuesday and today is friday, so today is my fourth day on it, consuming 2o grams of carbs per day. and drinking nothing but water, so far (although I read on the boards yesterday that I could drink flavored waters and crystal light, so I bought some today, Do they cause stalling in anyone? Also After 24 hours on diet I did a pee test and it showed me being in ketosis, 48 housr later another pee test- ketosis, this morning i did another test and it was tan!! I don't know what's happending and I need help! I did chew 1 piece of sugar free gum yesterday b/c I read that you could on another board. It had one carb and I counted it. Could that be it? I have also been eating slim jims among other things each day and they have 2 carbs in them per stick, but I've been eating them since day one of induction and my first 2 tests said I was in ketosis. any advice or direction please. Did my body get out of the state of ketosis? Will it take 48 hours to get back into it? PLEASE HELP! I need this diet to work before I get into my bathing suit!!!

I would cut out the SlimJims and try for a natural whole food snack. Look at the ingredients in SlimJims. Also for some people the sticks never change-try not to be so dependent on them. Reread your DANDR for other signs of ketosis-bad breath, metallic taste in mouth, clothes feeling looser, being less bloated etc. Eat clean and the weight will go down! Also in general most people do well w/Crystal Light. The only ones to watch are the teas-they list corn syrup solids as the third ingredient and this caused a stall in my particular case as I was drinking a lot of it. There are many flavored water products on the market which are 0 carb but remember nothing replaces good ole water.
