Sugar Alcohol Choc Bars
hey there, just wanted to share somethings i found for those whose diets allow sugar alcohols in them
anyway we found a chocolate bar at Laura Secord yesterday that tasted amazing, heres the breakdown on the back of package: Laura Secord Milk Chocolate Flavoured Bar Serving Size 1/3 (13.3g) Calories 70 Fat 5g Saturated Fat 3g Trans Fat 0g Cholesterol 5mg Sodium 10mg Carbs 7g Fibre 0g Sugars 0g Maltitol 6g Protein 1g they come in either milk or dark chocolate, now i havent eaten real chocolate for a few weeks but it tasted just like milk chocolate to me, by far the best one i have found here in canada, anyway minus your sugar alcohols (if you minus them) your looking at 3g per bar i had half a bar with no side effects , or change in ketosis levels heres another one from Zehr's (Loblaws for the city folk): Made by Ross chocolates No Sugar Added White Chocolate Bar 34g: serving 1 bar Calories 180 Fat 13g Saturated 8g Trans 0g Cholesterol 5mg Sodium 10mg Carbs 19g Fibre 0g Sugar 0g Maltitol 14g Protein 2g so for the whole bar, net count 5g In the end i would prefer the Laura secord for taste, smoothness, quality etc etc, but my wallet prefers the Ross Bar at $0.74 as compared to the $2.25 pricetag of the Laura Secord one anyways, wanted to let anyone who wanted a little something extra know at least the pricetag of the Laura Secord one wont allow me to eat very many, so thats a positive as well! |

I like a chocolate now and then. I've been getting my fix from russel stover sugar free chocolate covered caarmel drops. I maybe have one or two candies and that's it for a few day's. It is good to know there is something else out there, that tastes good. I may try one of those thanks for the heads up!
