My First Temptation

Okay Folks....... I just had my first "real" temptation..... I am only on day three of my new WOE. I have never done a LC diet before so it has been an experience..... Anyway..... things have been going okay. I have stuck to what I should and shouldn't be eating. However, this morning someone decided to bring in the most yummiest looking and smelling donuts..... I could smell them down the hall so I just stayed in my office and didn't go anywhere near them. That wasn't too hard I thought. Seemed fairly easy to do...... and then one of my wonderful sweet co-workers saw that I had not come down for one and brought the box to me to offer me one. Oh, they looked so yummy and smelled divine. And it crossed my mind to have one, but then "that voice" said... No... You don't want that, really.... then I said well maybe just half of one, because I REALLY do want that donut.... and the voice said again, No... You have worked too hard for three days to throw it all away..... So I have this fight going on in my head.... well what if I just took one little tiny bite? Surly one bite wouldn't hurt anything. And then it happened..... My heels dug into the ground and I said NO! NO! NO! It's all or nothing... either you are doing this.... or you are not..... so..... I turned the donuts away......... ) It was hard but well worth it..... Although my mouth is watering a bit now...lol

The longer you say "No", the easier it gets.

And then will come the point where they don't even smell good... you'll smell all that sugar and your head will reel at how disgusting it smells!

Congratulations!!!!

Good job! And you probably feel better now, knowing you made the right choice, than you would have after eating a donut!

WHOO HOO Misty.. you made the right choice!!!!

If I may share something that has worked for me... I started induction through the holidays where everyone is bringing some of the most incredible desserts. I decided to make a big batch of LC truffles from the back of the Atkins book. I bring one a day... and that's all that I allow myself. It really has empowered me to make the correct choices.....

Just a thought!!!!

I agree 100%. I have found this to be absolutely true. The longer you "do the right thing," the easier (and more second-nature) it becomes. KUTGW. You really got over a huge hurdle, and you should feel proud.
