Low Carb Flatout Wraps
I was making chicken wings tonight. When the oil got hot, I got to thinking about the lowcarb Flatout I had, I cut them into triangles and put them in the Fryer. Only took like 30 seconds till they were brown and crispy. Put them on paper towels and quickly sprinkled garlic seasoning on them. WOW, they were good by themselves. Wish I'd had some dip made! OH, should have put parm. cheese on them too!! Next time!

I get mine at walmart super center. Usually on the shelves right in front of the deli meat counter. They are FANTASTIC. I brush them with olive oil and put them in the oven to crisp and make pizza out of them. Here is the order page where you can click on the products for more information and so you can see what the package looks like so you'll know what you're looking for. They are big too. Makes a nice sandwich or breakfast burrito.
Flatout Click on "Products" at the top of the screen and then "Flatout Light" If you go to the home page there are recipes too I think |

I found a similar wrap ~ "Roll Ups" that are rectangular and the Flax ones have 6 net carbs also. I found mine at King Soopers (Kroger chain) in the produce aisle. I cut mine in half to make it go further and have fewer carbs. You can make a nice fluffy roll up with lettuce meat etc and feel very satisfied - both orally and tummywise.
This is what the package looks like and you can see the nutrition info here http://www.damascusbakery.com/pages/rollups_flax.html BTW - I'm very picky about flavors and this tastes great to me! |

This morning about 11am, I decided to try an experiment with my "wrap chips"
I fried up flatout wrap triangles till crispy, salted them, then put two slices or american cheese in a skillet with a splash of heavy cream (made a GREAT cheese sauce) put it on the "chips", added browned hb meat, a little salsa, sour cream, black olives and green onions. VERY GOOD nachos! mmmmm... ![]() |

I found the Roll Ups in my Super Target in the deli/bakery section, on the end of the display area for muffins & doughnuts. They were expiring in 3 days and were marked down to $0.25 a pack. I bought 4 packs and threw them in the freezer.

flat outs were so nasty i had two go completely moldy on top of my fridge. They tasted so fake and nasty.
I actually have found a love of the revolution roll you make at home, and its basically carb free. I had my first real hamburger while doing low carb tonight! |

I found some "Mission Carb Balance Tortillas" at Bi-Lo and Publix. They have 5g of net carbs and are great. I like to make chicken wraps with saute chicken, cheese, lettus, and sour cream. I will soak the lettue in 1/2 Tbs. of Italian Dressing (Low Carb) for added flavor. It is great.

We get this kind at Wal-mart. They are softer than the flat-out wraps. They are over by the cream cheese and yogurt section and they keep some in the bread section....

Misson Low Carb wheat wraps are very good, I find them at Wal-mart and Kroger in my area, they come in whole wheat or white. If you like chicken and dumplings they can be cut into strips and boiled in chicken broth for a low carb alternative.
