Question about adding more veggies

Okay, hubby and I are following as strict as we can on induction, but this week we have found we have not gone about 15 carbs for any single day. We are eating 2 cups of green veggies and .5 cups of cooked allowed veggies. Is it safe or okay to add more green veggies or allowed veggies? Maybe to get to 18-20 carbs per day or just stay where we are?

Due to my work schedule, it always seems my veggies are coming at night. 1.5 cup spinach .5 cup mushrooms in salad, and .5 cooked permitted. I would really love to be able to add maybe another 1 cup spinach or lettuce at lunchtime, especially since some of you may have read my post about the lack of BM's on my side.

This week has been a great week for both of us, but if you think more spinach would be okay, i'll happily keep some at the office too!

i think it would be fine to add in more spinach. i've personally never counted the carbs in leafy greens.

Go ahead and add more veggies. Just stick with ones on the list and you should be fine. Enjoy!

I don't count quantities on green leafies either - but Dr A says to spread your vegies out, have protein with them and not to eat them all at one meal.

yes, you can have more veggies. if you have room in your carb counts for more go ahead and enjoy. just make sure you choose from the allowable induction veggie list.

he had the amounts that you should eat as a guideline not a hardfast rule. eat eat eat!
