back and so hard this time

Okay, I am here ins hame. I did Atkins about three years ago and did great. I got down to 125 and it was wonderful on my frame. However, I got scared because I started to get so obssed with losing I stopped eating to get that last pound or so. My dh got worried and I slowly started eatign again. Well, I am now back at 155 and cannot seem to get back on track and stay there. I have no idea why. This board and the challenge board were huge supports for me inthe past so I am back asking for a swift kick in the butt and maybe some motivation. I am sworn to stay statring today. Anyone doing induction today?

Heather

Hi ladies.

I'm back on induction after an almost 2 year journey basically into hell! LOL, Nah, I can't say "hell" but it has not been fun. Lets just say self medicating yourself with alcohol because no one believes your in pain will PACK the weight back on.

Anyhow, I found a GREAT doctor, some good meds, put down the beer and I'm back and feeling GREAT.

You guys wanna start a challenge? We can kick eachother

I'm so sorry for what you went through with this WOE before. The first time I started induction, I did great. I lost more than 100 lbs and became obsessed with the "DIET" instead of this WOL. I planned so far ahead of time, I felt completely out of control if I were faced with a change in my meal plan. All I thought about was dieting and getting to my goal.

One major change for me has altered my lifestyle. I'm doing it for health, for good readings on all my tests, for my "future" kids, for running without getting out of breath.

Try to leave the past in the past and start over with a new attitude. We're here for you!!

Brandi :~)

Heather--

I hear you! I lost a bunch of weight last year on Atkins -- went from a size 10 to a size 2 (my frame is tiny! and I'm only 5 feet tall)-- but started feeling very obsessive about the whole thing, worrying about every pound/inch, etc. I ended up going off low carb, and am now right back where I started. On the one hand, it was nice to be less worried about it on the whole -- but now I'm back to feeling unattractive, and that isn't an improvement.

I'm reinducting starting today -- not thrilled about the whole thing, but also not liking feeling so out of place in my body.

Hi Friends,
I would like to join your group. I have previously been following a "loose" version of Lean for Life and went from 174 pounds down to 123. Lately I have gained back 15 pounds. I now weigh 138 pounds and have been having a terrible time with carb cravings.

Many years ago I had great success on Atkins and would like to give that a try again. I see that a couple of you are about my height and that has given me some motivation to join in on any challenge. I am 5' tall and have never been any lower than a size 5. At my age (57) and with a curvy shape, a goal of 110 might be too low. I would feel blessed to get to 118 pounds and then see how I feel.
