Hi I am new
I have tried low carb in the past but found that I did not have time to make a proper breakfast trying to get my kids up and ready for school. Any ideas on how to handle breakfast when you need something quick

Since your still on Induction, My advice would be to boil some eggs for the week and just grab them in the morning. You can also get the precooked sasage links or patties that just take a few seconds in the micro.
You can also get out of the mindset that breakfast is bacon eggs, cerals, etc. and grab a left over meat from the night before..ive been known to eat a cold pork chop with my bare hands driving down the road Once you continue onto ongoing weightloss, theres the low carb yogurt that is good, and Natures own makes a bread called 'double fiber'. its 10 total carbs with 5g fiber a slice. you can toast that with some butter, cinn. and splenda or a tad of peanut butter (some people vary on this and it stalls them or makes them gain your mileage my vary). |

On most days, I try to wait until my kids leave--then I eat. Or, I fix them a low carb breakfast as well--such as eggs mixed with hamburger/cheese--they eat it with bread--I eat it plain. I don't eat processed meats/sausages, so my breakfasts are usually the same--either eggs, or yogurt (I'm not eating it now) or something like leftovers. I almost always have my coffee with cream/splenda for breakfast too. I'm sure if you check the recipe room, you'll find lots of stuff that can be made the night before--or something you and the kids can all enjoy together.
Oh, one thing I do sometimes is flax cereal. I mix about 2-3 TBS of ground flax with boiling water to make a paste. Then, I add cream, splenda and maybe cinnamon to my taste. The whole thing (if the flax is ground) takes about 45 seconds to prepare--i'ts filling and tasty. I do have to watch this though at times when I'm watching calories as well (like now )Hope you find what works ![]() |

it only takes about 5 min to make some bacon and eggs doesnt it? Also you could make it the night before, thats what i do. I always prepare my meals early.

I've rediscovered my grandmothers little omlet pan. Usually I make a 2 egg omelet - mix the eggs in a little sp?ramikan? with straight sides, pour the eggs in, do the lift the edges/runny egg thing, toss on cheese and any leftovers, cover with the glass lid from my little crock pot. Little omelet in 2 minutes. This little Tfal pan is just the right size so after I fold the omelet I can push the curved edge up against the pan & the edge of the omelet seals together. Sometimes if I don't eat it promptly & it gets cool, I just pick it up and eat it like a sandwich.
Good luck. You can do it. Any breakfast is better than no breakfast at all. |

Breakfast does not have to be traditional breakfast foods...egg/tuna/chicken salad, some left overs from the previous evening, etc. I just found ways to make it work for me since I am not much of an egg eater and I wasn't going to make or eat bacon everyday. Good luck!

I'll tell you what I do. I hard boil a dozen eggs during the weekend sometime. Then they're available to grab and go. I also like the Morning Star Farms Veggie Sausage Patties. Only 1g per pattie so I usually have 2 eggs and 2 patties. It really fills me up until late morning.

Breakfast can be anything! I picked up some pre made salmon patties and have been having those for breakfast with a dab of my "fake honey mustard" sauce.

turkey & cheese lettuce rollups are my favorite. I actually love omelets in the morning and bacon if I'm not too lazy. But definitely omelets!
