Oh posted about this a while back. I think it was Matt that gave me the info. I remember lots of sugar alcohols but it didn't bother me at all. I'll see if I can find the post.

Very yummy!!

Is this something in stores, or just at the restaurant? I wonder if it freezes well for an emergency stash....

I have only seen it in the stores but I know they get it frozen. I assumed it was made fresh in the restaurant and only frozen in the grocery but the last time I went, I had to wait because my LC slice was still frozen!

Hey, its yummy, so not saying its a bad thing. I think I have a point, which is that you can freeze it.

LOW CARB Cheese cake

TGI Friday's also makes a very yummy Low Carb cheese cake ! Only 8 net carbs -though the slice was very small and really over priced!

But still yummy non the less !

I had the LC Cheesecake Factory cheesecake a few weeks ago - it was great & only 6 net carbs!!!
It was a big slice, too - I didn't feel so left out while everyone I went with was sharing these huge mounds of chocolate cake and carmel pecan cheesecake - I really thought they must have given me the wrong one by mistake - definitely didn't taste lo carb to me!!

just to share

I have made some truly delicious cheesecake desserts with out loading the calories so much-- we all know this lifestyle isn't about calories, but when it comes to our "treats" and lc compare-to foods, calories start to count. Try using whipped cream cheese for serious caloires reduction, but the same taste and carb count, also whipping light cream can make a delcious addition.

i looooooooooove the Cheesecake Factory low-carb cheesecake. It's hands-down the best I've tasted so far. SOOOoooo good and worth every penny.

TGIFriday's comes second for me, then Ruby Tuesday. I don't have the patience to clean, so I never cook my own.

You can also buy LC Cheesecake Factory by the slice or whole at B&N Cafes!! My DBF works for B&N Corporate, and gets a MEGA discount buying the whole thing...so we get a delish Cheesecake Factory cheesecake for like $21!!!

Why not make cheesecake from stratch.

I made it last week and it was very good. If you like Splenda anyway. My nephew was not impressed but he doesn't like Splenda.

It's very easy. You need a springfold pan of course. I used 2 regular 8 oz creem cheese and 2 fat free cream cheese to cut the fat.

2 - 8 oz Cream cheese
2 - 8 oz Fat free cream cheese
4 Eggs
1 1/2 Cup of Splenda
About 1 1/2 cup Low carb cookies (whatever kind you like. put in food processor or blender)
1/2 Cup butter (I used Smart Balance)
1/4 of Sour Cream (optional)

Mix the cream cheese, Splenda, eggs and I like to add a little sour cream.

Grind up the low carb cookies and mix with melted butter. Then press this mixture on the bottom of the springfold pan. Pour in the cream cheese mixture on top.

I like to use a baking pan with a little water in it and sit the springfold pan in the baking pan. This will prevent the cookies from over cooking.

Cook for about 55 min. at 350F. Let it cool for 30min then put in the fridge for at least a couple of hours.

Very, very simple and taste great!

Although probably not good for induction.
