Overeating?

Hey all- I'm in my second day of induction for Atkins. I am eating all of the appropriate foods- cheese, eggs, meat, and other fats- as articulated in the book, but I feel like I am eating too much of them...this way of eating seems so backwards to me!!!

How much are you eating each meal??? The reason why I'm asking is that later on in Induction, you start to get that full feeling..but eat only enough that SATISFIES you..not over gorging.
Good luck!!

H20..the trick is to learn to eat when hungry and stop when content. When first low-carbing..it's hard to know exactly when that is. I also didn't see you list veggies..I hope your having them!

For now..stick to the limits ( on veggies, cream and cheese..all three are limited) use protein between meals to help keep you satisfied..or veggies if you have the room..and give your body time to get in ketosis. Ketosis has a natural appitite supressant effect..and so..once in ketosis..many find their appitite go way down (usually around day 3-5)

Don't worry about how much you're eating during induction! As long as you're eating the right foods (and you are), eat as much of those foods as it takes to satisfy your hunger.

During induction you'll be extra hungry because your body is converting from carb-burning to fat burning. I'm reinducing myself -- on day 4 now -- and I just keep eating eggs, chicken, pork, etc. when I crave the bad stuff.

All good wishes to you!

Thank you guys for your advice, its made me a lot more confident in this eating style...and yes, I'm definatly getting my veggies in. My favorite snack right now that tides me over between meals is having a celery stick and wrapping a slice of cheddar cheese and zero carb deli turkey around it. Its great for in between classes!!
