Not much to lose
I only want to lose about 8lbs. and I'm only a few pounds overweight, so I should probably expect slower results than people who have a lot more to lose, right? I think I lost one pound last week, but that could be a fluctuation between a doctor's scale and my home scale. Either way, I feel better when I'm eating low carb (I did the diet for about six weeks at the start of the year, quit for about six and now I'm back on it), so I don't plan on going off the plan. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Yes, you will lose more slowly if you are close yo your goal. It can take months to lose that last 10 pounds, although some folks find it will drop off quickly and then the problem is staying with low carb as a long term maintenance plan...but it sounds like that's what you have in mind.
just curious, how tall are you?? if you set an unrealistic goal, you will NEVER reach it. Good Luck!! |

Yes...it will take you much longer to lose 8 pounds than someone with a great deal to lose. Glad to hear it makes you feel better...welcome!
