Green TEa Thyroid? what about red tea?

My tests don't come back till next week as doc is on holidays but I am thinking I have a problem.
I have only lost 9 lbs since starting and haven't lost a thing in over 2 weeks. ( not the only reason for thinking thyroid)
I drink lots of green tea as well as the rooibos tea ( love it)
So what tea can I drink?
Can't wait to pic up my results Monday or tuesday so I can go into appointment armed with information.

Green tea has naturally occurring fluorine in it, which competes with iodine uptake, so you may want to stop drinking it altogether. Rooibos, on the other hand, isn't from the tea plant so it may be okay.

Red tea is technically an herbal tea.

I drink the fruit teas, and ginger teas, etc. Oh, and I've noticed a LOT of different supplements putting green tea extract in now....just a heads up. Actually, Celestial Seasonings has a gingerbread tea, but I think it's only available at Christmas time. But, I buy a bottle of the gingerbread or the ginger Davinci's syrup from Netrition and I make my own that way.
