Thyroid disease
Hi!
I have a friend that has Thyroid disease. I don't really know anything about the condition but I don know that she desparately wants to lose weight. She has joined an e-mail support group that I do for my friends and family. Is it safe for her to do Atkins with this condition? I'm completely lost in this matter. |

It is completly safe for your friend to do LC, I am hypothyroid myself and I find that the Atkins diet is the only diet that is able to help me lose weight.

She should avoid SOY...soy really binds the thyroid hormones. If you would like to help her, you might want to go to search and look for "Thyroid tests are normal? Are you sure?" it's long, but very informative.
