Flax seeds
good eveningI would like to know if flax seeds are permited on induction and if it is how much can you have in a day. I have been on Atkins since Jan29th 2003. To date I have lossed over 100 lbs. I use flax in combination with cinnamon powder to control my blood sugars and it has worked for me in combination with the Atkins wol. I would appreciate a reply please thankyou gettenthere |

It's Fiber. I ground them up and put them in eggs, salads Helps you stay regular....
I use about 1-2 tbsp a day when I use it. |

gettenthere,
as far as I know, it is ok for induction bec. it is all fiber. What was your "mix" for your flax and cinn. I was just looking for some amounts to try. I need more fiber! |

Congratulations on your weight loss!
I use flax meal in 1/4 cup ricotta cheese, about 1 tsp mixed with 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Sometimes with a bit of davinci's caramel syrup. Very tasty and a good way to get the flax in. Last edited by OvertheTopLcWoman : 02-02-2005 at 06:21 AM. |
