Because Fat Redistributes after awhile of losing. I believe this, others may argue it.

I read somewhere that fat cells, when empty, fills up with water to be ready to accept new fat from the diet. As water is heavier that fat, you could lose inches (not all of the fat cells filled with water) and still not see a change on the scale. The fat cells will give up this water eventually, and supposedly faster if you drink a lot of water.

Muscle is more dense then fat. I hear people say it weighs more..but that's silly..because one pound of fat weighs excatly the same as one pound muscle..one pound!! (LOL) When you exercise..your losing fat..and building muscle. Thus..the scale may not show for awhile..but the inches will Hang-in, stay off the scale.and go by how your clothes fit and inches remember too..you can see inches!!!!
