Can't eat eggs

I was curious is anyone else has heard of this particular problem before and if it ever goes away.

When I eat eggs, I retain water. It doesn't seem to matter if they are salted or not, so I don't think that it is the salt on the eggs. My ankles swell up terribly. I drink lots of water (100oz or so) but I still swell if I have eggs in my diet. This has not always been the case. I used to eat eggs and loved them.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Out of curiousity, have you tried them fried with the yellows runny? Or soft-boiled? Anything but scrambled. I'm asking because I had a reaction to eggs until I stopped mixing the yolks with the whites before cooking. Don't know why, but I now eat two fried eggs a day and have no reaction. Before, I had very red, swollen and itchy eyelids and oozing ears. I read somewhere that mixing the yolk and white and cooking completely changes the proteins in the egg. (Mercola maybe). Anyway, from my experience there must be something to it for me.

Good luck!!!

Lisa

Yes, I have tried them fried. That is the way I used to eat them. I think that there is some protein in the yolk that I can't eat uncooked. I am not bothered by eggs cooked in other things, but by themselves, I can't do it.
