Question about Transfats
If the oil that they use to make mayonaise was not cold pressed or expeller pressed, does the mayo have transfats in it just because of the damaged oil that was extracted with a process that uses extremely high heat to extract the oil.
In other words, to avoid transfats, do I have to buy the expensive real mayo in the health section of my grocery store that says the oil used to make the mayo was cold processed or expeller pressed . . . or can I buy the cheaper brands? |

heating oils does not cause trans fat. The regular mayo is perfectly fine and is trans fat free.

Amazingly if I do understand correctly, some oils after a period of 6 months start to contain transfats.... Canola for example
