Alternative to Mayo

Does anyone have a low-carb, low-cal, great-tasting alternative to mayonnaise? I love the stuff, so it's hard not to eat too much.

Nayonaise is 35 cal/TB and 3.5 gm fat, 1 carb. It doesn't taste as sweet as mayo; a bit stronger vinegar taste...(not everyone likes that, but I do)

Just2Good Mayo is the best tasting lowfat mayo, in my opinion..

However, I just ordered some Z-Trim which you can mix with
your mayo to cut half the fat and the calories..and you CANNOT
taste the difference..and Z-Trim is corn bran fiber..no carbs or
no calories..

Do a google for Z-Trim..and they describe it on their site..

NO...it's all fiber... one serving is .6 carbs and that .6 carbs is
all fiber..so there is nothing in there to make you gain weight..It has zero calories.

Basically, it's a powder that you mix with 2 cups of water in a blender..7 Tbs. to 2 cups of water..and it looks like mayonnaise, but it is has a white color..You mix it with your regular fats..
like salad dressing, mayo, cream cheese, butter to add volume
but cut down the fat percentage.

Tonight I made coleslaw..with 2 tbs. of regular mayo and 2 tbs.
of Z-Trim..you couldn't tell the difference and I cut the fat in
half..I made egg salad the same way for lunch..That way I can
have the good tasting mayo (Hellman's light) without all the fat
and get some good fiber, too..

Carolyn, I have the Z trim as well. Havent tried it yet, though best get it back out of the cupboard

I would also add that i LOVE adding spicy salsa or hot mustard to many things that would use mayo.. though "pasta type or tator" type salads might not taste as good like that lol

I probably missed something.....
Isn't mayo part of something we can eat as much as we want?

Yes mayo is something that many low carber can eat a lot of.. but some of us low carbers arent doing atkins or are tweaking atkins and chosing to lower the fat

Yes...we can have mayo..but Inatic is right..some of us would rather eat lowER fat..in our mayo, etc..

I made some mayo with half Hellman's light and half Z-Trim as well
as some cream cheese. (I think 1/4 Z-Trim would be better
in this)..

And if you get this, be sure to mix the Z-Trim in a blender for
3 minutes to make sure it is all blended well..

I even added some to my vinegar and olive oil salad dressing, too..

A free food does not mean a Free-for-all food. Yep..fat is needed when low-carbing, and we don't **** calories..but let's face facts..they do count. I see people useing mayo n everything..then wonder why thier loss is so slow. Regardless of the plan..if your eating say 4000 calories a day..and use up 2000 your not going to lose..even when low-carbing (and yes, my example is extreme! that's why it's an example LOL)

Good fats should be used in moderation. As you lose..your going to have to lower calories to keep loseing..plain and simple. So why take old bad habits and simply make them new low-carb bad habits?

Use the Mayo.enjoy..just use comon sense. Theres a huge diffrence between 1-2 tablespoons of may in tuna vs 10

I am currently starting third week of Atkins induction and just put small jar of mayo on my grocery list. Mayo is allowed right? I just want to put a little in my tuna this week. Thanks for any response.
