Sugar Alcohols in Low carb products

Is sucrolose ( splenda) a sugar alcohol and does it interfere with weight loss?

If sucrolose is safe why does Atkins products bother to put any other type of sugar alcohol in it's products. Does Maltitol taste better? Why can't they make a product that doesn't hinder weight loss?

I'm whining because I'm hungry and I want to eat big chocolate.

Splenda is not a sugar alcohol, nor does it hinder weight loss. I wonder myself why these companies cant just make a chocolate bar without sugar alcohol. So far there is only one company that makes sugar alcohol free chocolate. Netrition sells these bars, there are here

Also the ZCarb bars are made with erythritol, and they dont stall anyone either. They are great.

Hate to dissagree with Matt, but Splenda can stall if your body is sensitive to it. Anything van stall if your body is sensitive..that's why the only true way to know..is to introduce only one product at a time and give it 1-2 weeks to see how you do. You can also become sensitive to something you weren't sensitive to before. For example..when I stared..I coud drink diet soda with aspertame and lose well...after about a year or so..my loss ad stopped..and once I had cut out the aspertame..my loss picked way back up.

Each of us are unique...and thus..have to figure out what your body can and can't handle.
