Started Losing again....

Ok so after my scare with the DR, found out my female organs are done at age 30~ I am ok with it now.
All other tests came back 'A' ok, for the first time in my life I am no LONGER Border ANEMIC! This Means I no Longer have to take IRON! Wahoooo~ Thank you DR A!

I had been stuck for 3 or more months as fas as weightloss and I couldn't figure it out. I logged everything into Fitday and since trying Induction again I was losing the same 1lb over and over. So then I would do mostly protein to kick start, still again the same 1lb over and over. LOL I was begining to think that once I hit my forst goal that I wasn' going to be able to go further. Until I decided to remove all coffee except 1 cup in the morning and in it's place I out green tea. Well in 1 week I have lost 4lbs!!!
Wahoooo....!!!!
I was getting frustrated, I work out 3 times a week and do Pilates and it just didn't hit me!!
I never logged in my night time coffees because I never get on the PC late at night. So in the morning I would go t fitday.com and load in my menu including my 1-2 cups of morning coffee with ½ & ½ and never thought about the other cups!
Just wanted to let you all know...if your stuck, are you putting EVERYTHING in fitday?
You would think I would have known this after over a year of LCing and being at my first goal!

Diana, way to go! I'm so happy for you!

You must have caught the Opra episode last Thursday on how to look 10 years younger without plastic surgery...Dr. Perricone literally guaranteed EVERYONE that they would lose 10 pounds in 6 weeks by ONLY replacing your coffee with green tea! I was so skeptical, but you've already started proving it. I'm going to have to wean off coffee and get myself onto that green tea! The Dr. had some very good advice about super foods, but I still couldn't justify using his products...very expensive!

Diana: I saw that show, too..I didn't realize that coffee..even
decaf can raise your insulin..to keep those pounds on..I drink
maybe 2 cups a day..but will get it down to 1 and do the green
tea thing, too..

And...I use loose green tea and make it in my coffee pot..Put the
loose tea in the top with a filter and let the water drip through..
Very convenient..

Diana,
How much green tea are you drinking, and is it decaf or regular? I have started drinking green tea, too, but only having one cup in the morning. I got defaf since I no longer drink anything with caffiene in it, but I read somewhere that if you drink decaf you lose whatever it is that helps with weight loss. What do you think. Maybe the AN can answer, too. I have been drinking mine with vanilla Davinci's and it is really good.

I drink 1 cup hot green tea- Regular at night. I guess Decaf takes out the chemical or whatever it is that aids in weightloss. Not only that But I think the tea is more healthy then the coffee, you know?

Diana, well, you should have been on the Oprah show with the good Doctor--proof positive!!! What made you start with the Green Tea?

I know there was some speculation on another thread that there is no way a few cups of green tea are enough to truly make a person lose the weight, but, hey, whatever works, right? And, I KNOW it is filled with antioxidants, and much better for you than coffee. I'm cutting back my coffee to 1 cup in the morning and adding 1 GT morning and night. Thanks for the inspiration!

Diana - congrats on your loss!

So does it have to be green tea, or is it just something in tea in general?
Can it be black tea or white tea?

I wanted something warm to drink in place of Coffee and well Lispton Green Tea is all I had, Perfect I thought! I love it with or without Atkins SF Syrups

I bet any type of tea could work. Coffee makes the blood sugar spike... So dark or decaf or green tea will be 100% better!

Congrats Diana!

This just shows how individual each person meal planning can be and that you may have to play around a little to find out what works best for you. It's great that you all share ideas and tips, but remember that different things work for different people. Good luck to you all!
