How much is resonable to expect?

Ok..well An, I posted this on a few other boards..and got very few responses..so will try here and see what your take is.

I hit my original goal in sept 2003 of 150. I was in a size 10 and content. I maintaned that loss for about 7 months..then decided I could defanatly stand to lose 10 more (I'm 5'6 and small framed)

My question is..I want to lose down to 138 (giving myself a 2 lb flux) I've really been strugling to get this last bit off (which I know is normal) I'm trying to figure out what is a normal amount to lose each week. I run 3 miles a day..eat clean (no products) and have been losing about 1/2 lb a week. I was thinking that is slow..but then again..I think I am close to my goal...so really not sure. Is 1 lb a week for the last 5 lbs expecting too much? Is 1/2 lb normal with exercise and clean eating?

I'm not posting a menu..but trust me..I get most of my carbs from veggies..and low-sugar fruit about 2-3 days a week. I eat no nuts..less then 4 oz cheese per day..and protein is usually about 6 oz per sitting. I also eat 4-6 meals (small) a day.

So..what can I expect for loss at the end?

P.S. I'm not trying to get into size 4's here..just a comfortable size 8

I am pretty close to goal and I am finding that when I stay on track (sounds like you definitely are!) I lose about 2-3 pounds a month. They don't come off evenly, but in clumps, if you know what I mean.

BTW, your stats are amazing! WTG!

Alania,

Thanks so much for the info. It's always good when your rowing in a boat, up-stream mind you, that your not alone (LOL)

So by what your losing...sounds like your in the average 1/2 lb (or a bit more) per week also. Good to hear

Congrats on being close to goal!! Such an amazing achievment..regardless of how much we had to lose. I really don't thnk the amount matters..as we all have to learn a new way of life..and the lesson is as hard to lern if you have 30 to lose as 110

Again..thanks for the response..it made me feel better

Aw, I'm glad I could help. I wish these pounds would come off faster, but at least we aren't alone in waiting!
