Fruity teas and carb count
I posted this message in elsewhere, then I realized it might be more productive to post it on the nutrition board. Anyone got any comments, suggestions?
I wonder about the carb count in fruity teas. I drink a lot of something called blackberry or blackcurrent bracer by London Teas and Herbs. There is no carb count. My weight loss has been pretty good and I can't see any stalls or slowdowns associated with drinking more tea, but I do wonder about it. |

Do you mean that there is no Nutrition Facts panel at all, or that the nutrition label says 0 carbs?
If the first is true, I would call the company to find out. If the label says 0 carbs, you can trust that it is accurate. If you are not experiencing any stalls and are enjoying the tea, then there is no reason to worry about it. |

There is no carb count on the label. It is not required in Canada. Ingredienst are required though and it shows no sugars ( so i know there are no added sugars).
I haven't found the makers though i've looked and am still looking. i believe they are in Britain or in Germany. While many products here comply with American and Canadian labelling law, tea companies barely have space to put canadian legislated info on their packages (packages are so small.) I wonder if someone with access to fruit teas labelled to meet american legislation could even give me some general info. Last edited by Peri : 10-11-2004 at 02:47 PM. |

the majority of the time the teas get their sweet taste from certain herbs, they dont add any sugar or anything of that nature. They're safe to drink
