Infertility, PCOS and Low-Carb

I already have two children but needed aggressive fertility treatment in order to get pregnant. (IVF)

Now, I would love to have another baby but hoping that low-carb could help improve my fertility. (I have PCOS, I don't ovulate regularly) I've heard that low carb & exercise helps with that.

Is it true?

Thanks!!
Kathy

There are many Atkins babies @ LCF. :clap;

I would also look into what fertity tests you had done and see if extensive thyoid testing is/was a part of it. See if you have TSH, FREE T3 and Free T4 , TPO antibodies. You want your Tsh under 1 and your free's in the midrange or higher.. Dont pay attention to what the lab values that read normal are. Low levels do not support fertility and maintain pregnancies.. you also have to keep an eye on your levels throughout your pregnancy too.

My cousin who had all kinds of fertility work done including insemation and IvF had her thyoid meds up.. in two months she was pregnant on her own! Hope you get your blessing too!

There is a growing body of research showing that woman with PCOS can benefit from the Atkins Nutritional Approach. Here is one article on the atkins website that would be of interest to you.

For more information, go to www.atkins.com and search PCOS. Good luck!
