What's the differences between Atkin's from 1992 and Atkin's Essentials?
Can someone help me out with this? Curious minds want to know?

The main differance that people keep complaining of is the promotion of Atkins product lines. Like the Bread on indcutions ect..."purists" think that what was written before Dr A died was more what he promoted and the correct way of thinking...after that people think that the company exploits the name by product promotion rather than lifestyle changes....I think that is it..I have read both ...it is up to you to form an opinion and my bottom line is ..if it works then do it!!!! hope this helps?

The Atkins Essentials is a compact, easy-to-read and easy-to-follow book is the perfect way to jump-start your Atkins lifestyle. It features all the practical information you need to lose weight and enjoy the health advantages of living the Atkins way. There are special sections on The ABC's of Doing Atkins, Personal Modifications to Slow or Speed Weight Loss, 14 days of delicious, low carb eating and much more. For people new to Atkins, The Atkins Essentials provides a quick effective start; for those already on the program it offers great tips on eating out, stocking the pantry and more.
Dr. Atkins began Complementary Formulations (later renamed Atkins Nutritionals) in 1997 and the first controlled carbohydrate food product, the Advantage Bar was introduced. Since then, there have been many other products developed and AE gives a guide on how to incorporate them into meal planning with the focus still being on whole foods. |
