Blabbermouth!!!

Rotating Atkins and Non LC
I have a friend that does Atkins M-F - induction levels. From Friday night - Sunday night...she drinks and eats whatever she wants.
She drinks juices, alcohol....eats breads/pastas etc... She is losing weight on a pretty steady basis. She does not overeat on weekends....but eats whatever she wants. (she is not a sweet eater - so I really doubt she eats a lot of sugar). She has lost almost as much as me, but I would say we are taking off weight at about the same speed. Her loss is slower and steadier.....mine seems to drop 5...stall for awhile....drop 5 and stall again. How can she be losing like this...she must be going out of ketosis. I enjoy some wine once in a while on the weekends...I know I won't lose (I don't gain either) |

I'm not sure your friend is losing weight the safest or healthiest way.
I would not consider her eating plan Atkins WOE. She certainly is not establishing healthy eating habits, in the long I think you will be more likely to maintain your weight loss. She may be compromising her health by eating too many high carb foods and then too many high fat foods. If she hits a plateau will she be prepared to get more focused on eating healthy? You are losing and eating healthy, I say keep up the good work! Congrats! |

Thank you...I never even thought of it in that manner.
I was just thinking...how in the heck is she losing! But, it was kind of frustrating to me. I am working my butt off on this and someone can do it half.... and still lose. I know I don't lose really fast...with all of my stalls and losses...I average about 2.4 lbs a week...I can live with that ...and, I am happy with my eating habits and will stick with it!! |
