fasts

what do you think of some of the fasts that go on here? Like the meat and egg? are they safe? I know they aren't very nutritionally rounded, but are they okay to do for short periods of time?? Anything I should be thinking about before I decide to do one?

I cannot speak about all the fasts that people use. I can speak about the fat fast that Dr. Atkins used in his pactice.

As far as fasting goes, it is not something that is enjoyable or healthy for long periods of time. It may be necessary to do for no longer than 4 days at a time. I suggest you visit the website or get the specific instructions from the book.

I think before starting a fast you should ask yourself:

Why do I want to do this?

Have I lost weight/inches?

Have I been as strict as possible?

What are my expectations?

And any other question that may provide insight into the value of fasting for you.
