Does Caffeine really affect blood sugar, and prevent wt loss?
I have done almost everything right on induction but still have not lost any weight. However I do drink a lot of Coffee. Probably over a pot a day (may sound crazy but I work nightshift). That is probably 50-80oz and I make it really strong. It looks like motor oil from a car when I poor it.
I never knew how addicting it was till I tried to stop. I got headaches, was tired, etc.. So could that be my downfall? ![]() |

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm just starting out, but I don't want to cut out caffeine until I'm sure I'm able to stick with low carb. I love to drink diet pop as my "sweet stuff".

I am not doing Atkins but wanted to suggest instead of just stopping try weaning down.. try 3/4 caffiene and 1/4 decafe for a few days. then try 1/2 and 1/2 for a few days and then try 3/4 decafe 1/4 caff till you can go all decafe. None of the withdrawls that way.
I do add a smide of cafe to my coffee sometimes now and then )but since I dont do a lot of it or all the time I dont feel the effects if I dont have any. |

Is the coffee the only thing? Yes, you may need to cut back. Taper slowly. Try doing 1/2 regular,1/2 decaf take tylenol for your headaches, do not make yourself suffer |
