Taking vitamins with iron or without
I know that Dr Atkins suggested taking vitamin supplements without iron. I don't really understand why, though.
I have always had low iron in my blood. I had even been turned away from donating blood due to low iron in the past. Should I really give up the "iron-included" vitamins? |

If your doctor has recommended an iron supplement because of low iron or anemia then you should be taking a multi-vitamin with iron.
Iron, when taken in excess amounts can be fatal. This is the reason that no doctor will recommend an iron supplement unless there is a reason to supplement it. Speak with your doctor about your need to supplement. |
