caffeine

I just bought the Accel Atkins supplement I'm curious about the caffeine in them. Aren't we advised to stay away from caffeine? I know it's probably an individual thing, but I was just wondering why it is in these pills if for some people caffeine isn't smart?

Thanks in advance for your response and as a new person here I want to say I really appreciate your wealth of information and its really valuable to me to have such a resource when I am just starting out! (and let me also compliment you on being so diplomatic when people get argumentative )

The Accel product has very little caffeine. To my knowledge, it is qeuivalant to less than you would ingest from drinking a cup of tea. In the same respect, for those who "need" a cup of coffee in the morning to stay on plan, it is allowed , however, more than 1-2 cups is not recommended.

While you should not consume excessive amounts of caffeine, the small amounts in Accel should only help to enhance weight loss.

Of course, if you have a medical condition (heart condition etc...) and your doctor does not want you to use caffeine. The Accel product should be avoided.

Diet Soda

So does that mean 1 or 2 Diet Sodas a day are OK?

Diet sodas (at least Diet Rite) has no caffine.

The caffine in pops are very high. I wouldn't recommend them at all.

(Course lets not talk about the fact I drank 5 cups of coffee yesterday )

Yes, although caffeine free sodas are recommended.

If you drink caffeine containing soda and it has not effected your weight loss, then 1-2 8 oz. servings are ok, not 1-2 liters.
