I've noticed since starting Atkins that my left lower leg is swolen and I've lost some feeling in my big toe. I did have arthroscopic surgery on my left knee 11 months ago so it may have something to do with that, but it has only happened since mid June which is when I started Atkins. I've been through the tests to rule out a DVT (blood clot) and my knee surgeon says everythings fine. What do you think? Could it be too much sodium in my diet? Wouldn't that affect both legs rather that one?

I have never heard of Atkins causing this problem.

If your doctor says it is nothing and you prefer to get a second opinion, I suggest you get it from another doctor/expert, for your sake, and not a nutritionist.
