Dietary fat or stored fat....
So when we are in ketosis how do we know that the fat we are burning is from stored fat and not fat that we just ate? I know both are a good thing but i'm curious to know if my deep, dark purple test strip is from the meal I just ate a few hours before.
Next question, Why is it we always seem to show more ketosis at night??? |

burning fat
Good question.
If you lose weight or inches, you know you are burning stored fat. |

And for your second question...
Remember that I've mentioned before how carbohydrates are the preferred source for your body to burn for energy, and fat is second. Even people who do not follow a controlled carb lifestyle produce ketones during the night since they have not eaten for hours and their body is tapping into their second source (stored fat) for energy. Same can be applied for those following a controlled carb lifestyle. While you are sleeping, since you have not eaten for hours, you are sometimes burning more stored fat for energy, thus producing more ketones. |

Umm i don't believe that actually answered the question nutritionist.
The question was specifically regarding ketostix, not measurements etc. Quote:
