Good Morning and Happy HUMMMP DAAAAY! Just a few more days until the weekend (well I consider Friday the start of the weekend!)

Hello, October! Please be good to me.

Here's the deal...I weighed this morning and I'm officially down (FINALLY) 4 lbs. I finally feel like I've accomplished something - after 9 days of LCing my scale has moved!!

Here's to more losses!!

Menu for today (I'm winging it because I woke up late and wasn't able to pack my bag for work )

B - 3 eggs scrambled with bacon and cheese (w/butter)
S - boiled eggs (2)
L - probably tuna or chicken salad from the cafe downstairs (?) or the cut up grilled chicken breast I did manage to grab this morning
S - couple of cheese cubes
D - Not sure about din din just yet.

Last night the plan was to fix sauteed shrimp and sausage with LC Alfredo sauce, but seriously was not hungry at all so didn't fix it. I was down a son last night (youngest spent the night at a friend's house) and my oldest is easy to please (thankfully) so I just threw some chicken nuggets in the oven for him and VOILA! Dinner was served. Maybe I'll feel like cooking this evening and make what was for dinner last night tonight. Y'all get that?

Can I jump in on this challenge?
My plan is to check in occasionally to stay accountable and motivated!
I started 9/22 and I'm waiting until Monday to weigh in. I've started and stopped many times, but I feel different this time and hoping I can stick with this determination.
Curious to see what my results are because although I'm following the rules, I think I could still be over eating.....
It is so helpful to read your posts, and I've adopted some new things based on the things I've learned.
Have a great day!

Yeah hello October, Adios September!!

Since Thursday is my official weigh in day, I will see tomorrow how much I have lost in September. I hope I managed 10 lbs. Well, we'll see.

My goal for end of October is to have the number 6 in my three digit weight number. (does that make any sense??) My weight last Thursday was at 176 lb, so I would like the 7 turn into a 6!! That would be awesome.
I am invited for lunch tomorrow, but I think most of the ladies are some kind of diet. I am supposed to make a low carb dessert. So I googled myself silly and finally found a really nice looking recipe. Low carb raspberry squares. I will let you know if it was nice, I have to wait until tomorrow to find out!!

All I ate today was a 3 egg omelette with some spinach and a hint of butter. That was around 11 am this morning and I am still full. I don't know if I want to eat tonight, maybe I just have a hardboiled egg or something like that. I am really not hungry at all.....very weird for me

BTW a huge hello to all the newcomers joining this month. It is really nice to meet you all.

Have a nice Wednesday everybody!! Cheers from Italy

Thanks for getting the thread going Pcaltman. Wow, lots of new faces (to me ) in the room.
Can't believe we're in October already
I seem to be hovering between 250-255; no idea why I'm not getting movement but for me, slow & steady wins the race.
On a even better note, the belt I have at work had to be tightened up some more so though I don't see the loss, something is happening

So, my Sept 1 weight was 230.2 and my October 1 weight is 229.8... doh! Lol. So, my goal of 6 pounds lost obviously didn't work, but hey, better to be only .4 down than, say, 4 pounds UP. I'm not over the moon, but I'll take it. And October is a new month, so I'll stick with the same goal of losing 6 pounds this month.

Hope you guys had more success in September, but regardless, I'm excited about a new month! It always seems like a big new start, doesn't it? I always feel quite optimistic on the first of the month.

I love October!! It is the beginning of my favourite time of the year!!

I started induction at the end of August, at 195.2, I am starting today at:
Oct 1-179.4

I had a very busy day today and realized I didn't really eat much.

I had morning clinic, I had an Atkins café/caramel shake (LOVE THESE SO MUCH!) for breakfast. Got to see one of my favourite patients this morning!
Lunch I had to lead a meeting for our student chapter of the American Dental Hygienists' Association, so all I ate between talking was a few pumpkin seeds.
Came home, the kids are on break so they kept me busy. I also promised a cake for my October birthday girls so I have a massive cake in my fridge that I finished. Made fish, veggies, and fruit for supper, had a good sized portion of salmon. The kids wanted to go for a walk afterward so we all went out. When we got home it was their bedtime and time for me to start homework! I just tried my first fat bomb, since I was craving something "junky", my go to snack is usually a spinach smoothie but I wasn't feeling it this late (esp. with kids in bed!) So I guess Im pretty low for carbs for the day. Hopefully it will budge that scale a little! I'm ready for some more wooshes!

Since my blood pressure did not lower at all after losing 15lbs, I am hoping another 10 will get it down. So I guess my goal is to lost 10lbs this month.

25.4lbs until I am no longer overweight!

Morning all,

I would love to lose 10lbs this month but know my body will not allow that so I will stick with the 6lbs. But honestly anything would be great so just taking one day at a time. Had girls night out last night and did good. It was potato and salad bar so I had 1 cup lettuce with a few fixings and 2 diet soda, which I never drink, but what the hay.

Menu:
B - coffee, hwc, splenda, 2 eggs, kielbasa, cheddar
L - Nathan's hot dog, leftover steak, 1 oz cheddar
D - small taco salad, salad, both 1 cup each. 2 diet sodas (the taco salad I ate at home first so I wouldn't cheat)

Weight:
1 - 169.6
2 - 170.8

2010 - 240
2012 - 159 Goal!
2014 - 230 Yeah, I did that

September 2014

9/22 - 230

October 2014

10/1 - 222.0
10/2 - 221.6

All I ate yesterday was my coffee with HWC, a double cheeseburger, plain, no bun with a diet coke then a dreaded Atkins bar at 10pm. Getting ready for ankle surgery has got me moving at Mach 4. I need to slow down today and eat better.

Pam, glad you had a nice night out with the girls and avoided the potatoes! Great job! You can reach your ten pound goal! I've seen you do it!

Happy October everyone!

Hi Everyone,

Ciara here, I'm jumping back into Induction today to finish losing weight. Does anyone have good suggestions of an easy to make low carb sauce ? I'm looking for something that will taste good on veggies & meat both.

Hi everyone!! This day didn't exactly fly past, but it was steady.
I had a little chicken salad for lunch and that's about it.
Date with BF after work - that's usually two glasses of wine and maybe some raw tuna or some olives! Yummm

At this rate it should only take me about 2 months.

That sounds amazing. I don't drink often, but when I do I enjoy it. My classmates have been begging me for another end of semester bash at my house. It is set up beautifully for entertaining and I have an entire spare bedroom off the deck that is our "drinks" room. Where I mix some amazing beverages I wonder how low I can reasonably expect to be by the beginning of December, and how much damage an evening of entertaining and drinking would bring! I always set up a nacho cheese fountain, have crock pots full of food and we just generally eat and drink all night. The last Christmas one I did included making and decorating cookies and some other sweets. :/ Not sure I want to do that again 'cuz it makes me fat!

pcaltman- Nice to have your hubby home early today, maybe you'll get to see him for a little bit! Mine works a weird shift, so on days I am not working, he doesn't get home until we are in bed I understand how you feel! It works for us because it means no babysitter...but I do wish I got to see him more!

Aaronsmommy- That party sounds like fun! I would do it only if I knew I could resist! My son's birthday party is coming up and since I am planning it, of course, I know I am adding in things I can eat. Maybe you can add some really yummy things that is on plan for you (and your guests) and then you can party and not worry? Hot wings and meatballs? lol

Made my son's Halloween costume yesterday because he was "dying" to have me make it...a Lego Man He is in love and I think it turned out pretty darn AWESOME! (If I may say so myself lol) One more day off and then I have to work tomorrow...a day shift, and I never work day shift! Its overtime, but I am hoping for some babies to snuggle...I need it, so stressed!

Have a great Friday! If you all get a chance, post your favorite meals...I need to grocery shop today

Chelsey, I tore the major tendon that runs down the inside of your ankle. I forget the medical name of it. My foot is so flat and I overpronate so badly when I run I basically run on those tendons. So the surgery is to break the bones in my foot put in plates and reform of my foot so that I'll have a perfect arch cut all the tendons and lengthen them and repair the one that I tore. The recovery time is six months and I have to learn how to walk again. My feet will not match so I have to wear an orthotic in the right shoe. I've been in a cast since June. When it's all done I'll have a perfect foot but I'm gonna be down for a long time.

My preop EKG came back bad so I had 6 hours of heart tests done, results were a leaky valve but not bad. Yesterday I got a letter saying my mammogram came back bad so now I get to try and squeeze another set of diagnostic tests in before ankle surgery on Tuesday. No pun on the squeeze.

On the upside I went to the dentist yesterday and she said my teeth look great! Lol.

Have a great day everyone, eat smart!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
I'm so excited/nervous to weigh Monday....I need to see the scale move to keep this going. Even if it's small, I'll take it! It will be 2 weeks with no cheats.....fingers crossed.
I made the mashed cauliflower recipe that's posted on the porn #4 thread and it was really good! Also, I've been having bulletproof coffee some mornings when I know I'm rushed and can't sit to eat for awhile. The fat bombs are new to me, but I feel like they're too yummy and a set up for me to crave dessert.
Again, your posts are so helpful and motivating. This is such a safe place to visit to stay on track.
Thanks!

Made my son's Halloween costume yesterday because he was "dying" to have me make it...a Lego Man He is in love and I think it turned out pretty darn AWESOME! (If I may say so myself lol)
If I do it I will put a few selections out that are low carb, but the damage will likely come from the drinks. Two of my favourites are Butterbeer and Liquid Marijuana, both are pretty sweet.

Will you post a picture?! I love Halloween. Last year we had about 1200 kids! We are preparing for 1300 this year. EEK! I need to check the candy and see if I still need to buy more.

This is my youngest's costume, yep, Elsa from Frozen. My middle boy is going to be the grim reaper and my oldest is going to be a Sergeant 1st Class in the Army (yes, that specific lol!)
