I am getting ready to make my lunch for work. I am mixing Costco rotis chicken (the kind they sell off the carcass and in the bags) with mayo, apple and walnuts. I eat it out of a bowl and my kids like it on a sandwich. It's yummy. You could also make it with celery, pickles, etc.

Another thing I like that travels well is cottage cheese with a little vanilla protein powder mixed in, chopped frozen strawberries and pecans. The frozen strawberries keep it cool while thawing.

ETA: I'm sorry, I didn't realize this is the induction board.

I keep bacon in my lunches (cook a pound at a time and portion it 4 pieces to a bag), hardboiled eggs, cheese curds, broiled hot dog ( tastes OK cold to me), waffle bread ( recipe on this site) for tuna or egg salad, string cheese

I make homeade beef/turkey/chicken jerky with a dehydrator. It keeps for long time and I keep it in my desk at work, and in my purse. I used to keep it in my car but it's too hot in July in Texas. If you don't want to make it there is an all natural called steve's original jerky you can order but I find that it is very expensive.

hope this helps.
