Mountain: if that's the case, it's amazing anyone decided to live there year round.
Cudabear: so is sweating it out the best strategy? If there were a bed at work today, I would have been curled up on it.
Bmac13: bonus that the flies weren't bad. I remember many moons ago when I would drive thru the park & the folks working the gates would be in full bug suits coming out to the car.
I agree about the meat at Costco; my DW esp. likes the ribs.
I might take the folks up at work & stay home; wouldn't want this to spread thru the office

I'm not too worried about the Y not offering bodypump, I've been doing kettlebells, swimming, slowing trying to do C25K & trying to figure out a routine from the NROL books. So far, the kettlebells have the most bang for $$$$ when it comes to jacking up the heart rate.
Skinnycj: wow, the fever your daughter had must of scared the heck out of you! Did the Dr's figure out what the problem was?

No idea what the day ahead will bring; we're suppose to be going for a relaxing swim & soak in the hot tub. I also heard mention of a shopping trip

Yes they said she had a bladder infection. Put her on antibiotics and had a follow up visit.

I was happy this morning my scale cooperated I lost another pound! 1 more for me to hit my first 20 pound loss. So excited to be shrinking.

cudabear- I do miss my wine but I feel like it throws me off if I drink it so at least until I am closer to my goal weight it is off limits.

Morning All; stayed home again today. Folks at work don't want to get infected. I'm thinking maybe a hard workout will clear this out but who knows; most of the fitness folks say rest is the best weapon
So, how did you ladies arrive at your ideal weight? Are you using a chart that you found online?
I'm personally shooting for a % of body fat, now to come up with a realistic #

Evening! Been such a busy but fun day. DD and I went to town with my Mom today. I found some cute tops for dd at Kohls on clearance. Love their clearance! I didn't buy Me anything. I told my Mom I wasn't going to until I get the weight I gained back off! I know I ate to much today. Ugh! Lc but to much. Had a big buffalo chicken salad for lunch with LOTS of water cause that sucker was Hot lol. Then had chicken fajitas for supper. Sans beans, rice and tortillas.
I'm hoping the rain will hold off in the morning so I can maybe go for a walk

Happy last day of the month! I hope everyone has met their goals. I started at 210.1 and today I'm at 196.4, total loss 13.7lbs. Woohoo! My goal was to get into onederland and I made it and I'm officially there to stay.

17 lb. gone despite being sick and off plan for over a week. Still sick, but tomorrow is back to work and back on track.

So, 6 pounds this month. If I just do induction, 20 carbs a day, then I don’t lose anything. If I go down to 5 carbs, then it melts off. So to me those Atkins 72 folks are right. There is no choice: abandon all carbs, ye who enter here.

So my total loss for the month is 17 pounds holding at 163lbs. I wanted to be in the 150's but that will be my goal for August.

Good job, Skinny! That is impressive. I lost 17 lbs. as well, but I think that is because I was just starting. I expect my weight loss to be much slower next month. I truly admire those that can stick with '72 Atkins. The results speak for themselves. I'm sure you will hit your goal in no time!

Wow, where did July go? Seems the weight loss fairy has been kind to a few of you. I haven't even stepped on the scales for over a week. Seem to be bouncing between 255-250
PrincessMommy: really? The kids go back to school that early? Even the French school system doesn't go back till the last week of August.

Mountain--sometimes it takes a while to see what works for you. I try to do zero carb, also (I'm basically A '72), and have to watch my calories to make this work. Glad you are finding out what works for you!

PaleoGuy--always glad to see you post. Calm and steady!

Monthly loss is 9-10 lbs (just got back from vacation, so I'm not sure if I lost this week or not). Next month's goal is Onederland!

Way to finish off the month...I think I lost 12lbs? I'm sorry I Wasn't on much, I've been experiencing flashbacks of that night and shaking and they are calling it PTSD.....it's been a very hard month for me but I have to say getting thinner is a nice positive and it's the one thing I feel I can control.
Great job Kd on your huge loss this month and for sticking with it! Sorry you got pneumonia in the middle of summer...jeez

Hang in there, Kizz! Do whatever you need to do to take care of you. I'm sure there is no easy answer. Until you find a solution, just take a deep breath and remember that baby steps are still progress. Sometimes, you just have to keep forward momentum even when your mind refuses to live in the now. Hello all. Everybody is doing so well! I just wanted to report that I didn't cheat once. That was my goal. Which is a biggie for me. Anyhow I lost 10 lbs. I know it could have been more. It could have been the 4 cans of diet coke I had, too much cheese or pork rinds. I'm eliminating the diet coke, I think that a bad player on my team. I'm also, or should I say, I'm only going to use the cheese as a seasoning on hamburger, instead of a snack. My girl thing came 2x this month. I'm totally wrecked and trying to keep it together. My husband has schizophrenia with paranoia and he's having one of his episodes. I'm sorry... to bring it up, I'm so emotional tonight. I'm going to keep it together and stay on track. If I don't write often, please forgive me. I think of all of you often and all yunz guys are always in my prayers.
We're staying the course for a healthier body and healthier mind.

Crooked--sorry to hear your dh is having a bad time. Way to go for not cheating all month!! That is really, really great! Stressful times are hard for many of us, me included, so that you are eating clean when life is tough is really noteworthy! We are here for you whenever you need us. Congrats on the 10 lbs--that's great for one month!!
