I stopped at 7-eleven yesterday and bought a sugar free watermelon punch slurpee. Came home and found out it has 8 carbs per 8 oz serving. Where are the 8 carbs coming from, the dextrin?
Water, dextrin, erythritol, glycerin, citric acid, natural flavors, potassium benzoate, quillaia (sp?) extract, sucralose, yucca extra, and red 40.

I was extremely relieved to wake up to a 1.8 lb loss. I figured that the slurpee had about 24 carbs in it. I'm not sure how they figured that but at least those carbs didn't attach themselves to my butt.

Morning All:
I got lucky at work re: grass fed beef. I overheard someone talking & one thing led to another. I think the butcher they use needs help figuring out what a 1" is but the meat is delicious. 1/4 cost ~$344?
Bmac13: I thought you said the Dr's scale reported you as under 200? So now it's official at home?
Baddabing: I think the food choices of those from Italy depend on the region. We have a native Italian at work & he never mentions seafood
Princessmommy: I feel the same way re: the calves. I use to think about stopping & unchaining them but then, I would be in major trouble with the farmer & law
Welcome back Tiggy. I read on several sites that body pump was the best bang for the buck re: organized fitness classes. Not sure if my local Y runs them
Well, after a morning of feeding mosquitoes, we made it to the Y. Ended up doing cardio on the elliptical & bike for ~20mins then did a session of swings & snatches. Anyone want to guess which elevated the HR more?
Then we hit the pool. Nothing better that a few relaxing laps & a soak in the hot tub
Have a great day folks

DD has a birthday party to go to today, i'm hoping she can resist the cake. I'm grilling supper tonight. DD gets her braces tomorrow so she asked for ribs for supper tonight Lol

Well today I think I can say I am in Ketosis but not in color. I am not hungry. Usually by now I am getting angry and I had already had breakfast! This will be the challenge day because I have to eat lunch at a Mexican restaurant and dinner at an Italian restaurant. Not so much in the I will eat the wrong thing but more in the they will put the wrong thing in /on the right choice.

The Kids Bio Grand Ma is taking them for the afternoon so we are going to do lunch and a movie, then meet them for dinner. That is if they ever get here. They are running 2 hours late which is...... well....... about right for them.

Pre Day one weight 178.8
7/18/2014 – 177.8
7/19/2014 - 176.2
7/20/2014 - 174.2

BTW I predict I will fall to 169 and stick there. Cant seem to get below that number for some reason.

bmac--CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am only 8 lbs away, so I know how badly you've been waiting for that! Woohoo!! I can't wait to be able to say that!

This morning I put on a dress that I wore last summer without the belt (too tight), but couldn't really wear earlier this summer. Today, the belt is on hole #5!!

BullDog--congrats on the close shave! Glad that slurpee didn't stall you! Maybe there was enough water in it to counter the carbs?!

Paleo--lucky you with your beef find! Where do you find so much time to exercise??

Princess--glad the scale moved for you!

Mountain--you are losing nice and steady, about a pound a week!!

Baddabing--good luck on eating out. I feel like it's a crap shoot every time! Sheesh! You're doing great, 4.5 lbs already!

I was up 1.5 lbs, due I think to water weight from eating too much processed food the last few days(on plan, but processed). Thankfully it is gone today. I need to premake food and keep individual portions in the freezer, cuz I'm a grab-n-go type when it comes to meals. I just don't have the patience to take time to really cook.

I just faced down two of my biggest enemies and won. I had to take my daughters to a birthday/pool party which happened to be a pizza party with cake. While everyone was eating pizza I whipped out my egg salad and sugar free jello. It wasn't pizza and cake good but at least I didn't come home hating myself.

I vote for the Swings!!!...unless you were "H-I-I-T-ing" on the bike...

(my Loving Spouse and I biked to the beach...he sat in his chair...I walked a mile of the beach in knee high water...when I got back he said, "I've got my feet in the water, does that count?).

Well this is what went down. The first restaurant was a Tex Mex. The only thing on the menu that was not carb based was Salmon. I ordered it and it came on top of the rice beans next to it fruit on the other side. There was a drizzle of something on the salmon I dont know what it was. I ate the salmon, nothing else. Dinner was Italian. I order a ribeye. It cam with veggies. I chocked down the ribeye that was dusted with parm and half the veggies. Hopefully there was less than 20 carbs in that. I ate nothing else today. BTW probably not the best idea to get a ribeye at an Italian restaurant. Not good

Thanks everyone!

Holding strong in onederland today. No budge on the scale, but I'll take it! Yes, CPG-my doc scale said 197, but I can't weight myself there everyday(I wish!) so I still go by my home scale.

Better, you will be there soon! I'm rooting for ya!

Have a great day everyone!

Well my diligence paid off. Lost weight, now show ketosis, and no issues that I can detect so yesterday is a success. Now I know what I can eat at two more restaurants, though I would prefer not to go to either if possible. I know where I can go to not only eat on plan but also enjoy the meal!

We started out state survey today so everyone is running around acting a fool. Hopefully we will be done by weeks end and life can return to normal. Not sure if it will mess with my workout schedule yet. Sometimes I get held hostage through the night.

Today's plan, eat what I have preped and if possible CXWorks and Step tonight.

princessmommy - get her lots of cold liquid type foods to eat for the next few days.

Pre Day one weight 178.8
7/18/2014 – 177.8
7/19/2014 - 176.2
7/20/2014 - 174.2
7/21/2014 - 172.6

Everyone is doing awesome!

I showed up at the endo's office for my appointment and those people acted like I had 3 heads. Apparently the nurse who made the appointment for me wrote down 7/21 instead of 8/21. So I have to wait a full month before getting to see this new guy. I just hope that I have enough metformin for another month. On the plus side, I'm down another 1/2 lb so maybe by the time I do get my appointment, I'll see a significant enough drop in weight that the guy can't argue with me.

You still lost weight so that's good! We're headed to the Outback Steakhouse and I've already been online looking at all of the nutritional info. I usually order sautéed mushrooms with my steak but after seeing the carb count, think I will pass.

I have had steak there ribeye I think and brocolli and was fine. Steak is the one meat that I prefer prestine. It taste good the way it is. Unless its a cheap cut then by all mean Dr. it away.

Princess- sorry about the scale this morning. I'm sure it will drop back down just a quick stall.

My scale went up to by 1lb. Ugh. I hope it does what most others seem to do go up then have a drop with loss. Going to try fish and chicken this week and see if my scale cooperates more

LOL I usually just abbreviate to just "Met" but that sounds funny too. My dh has changed his mind about The Outback so now we're headed to a better steakhouse minus the kids. Thank goodness for Bible school being held in the evenings.

I've been MIA for a few days with nothing exciting to report. I have been up from 192 to 194 for about 5 days. I initially lost 17 lbs. in 2 weeks, so I just figure my body is either taking a break or just balancing out the water lost. I am sticking to plan each day, and also near TOM. I am hoping for a nice whoosh later in the week. I tend to over analyze things, so I am really trying not to get frustrated and just keep on keeping on. I knew this would happen, so at least it isn't a surprise.

In the meantime, I'll just happily keep planning my cruise in September... So, if you don't hear from me for a few days, I'm just imagining life in the Caribbean! Vacations don't roll around very often in my world, so I even enjoy the planning. lol.

Kd did - Which group? What ship? Easter or western? What ports? If you do western then I may have some stuff to let you know. I did that cruise a few months back on Carnival.

Both gym classes tonight adequately kicked my butt. Fried some chicken for tonight and threw in a few pork chops while the oil was hot for lunch tomorrow.

Getting into a salt bath in a few then off to bed.

Well that was short lived...

Back at 200.0 today. Not too worried about it as I do this yo-yo thing every now and then, but come on scale! You are just teasing me with onederland now!

I hope everyone sees losses today!

BulldogMom: that's gotta suck; esp. if you took time off work for the appt?
Betterthanever: it's harder to get out than you think. My DS almost has to be disconnected from his Xbox & given 30' warning before we head out. The Y is just down the road so my list of excuses isn't very long.
We DO have a range of KBs at home just in case
Princessmommy: strange how your weight keeps going up/down like a yo-yo; water retention?
Galveston Gal: no surprise that you guessed right
We have the Ottawa river down the road, unfortunately, the water treatment plant is further west & the water quality isn't the best
Baddabing: what classes did you say you tried? Have you given the kb's a try yet?
Humidity is back; my DW broke down & put the a/c on. In my books, that means another trip to the pool

Tiggy, Glad to see you back! I'm not worried about the metformin. I was on it for years for about 5 yrs total during the time I was trying to get pregnant.

Kd, Vacation planning can be fun. We're planning on a Disney vacation in Oct/Nov. I just wish funds were unlimited and we had a full month to do whatever.

bmac, Definitely don't worry about a small jump. You've seen some great losses so your body is just trying to process the new you. You will be back in onederland to stay.

CdnPaleoGuy, Thankfully it wasn't a huge inconvenience as much as it was a disappointment. I think I can last one more month though.

Cudabear, Hang in there. You are doing great. Your weight is just a number. What's more important is that you start feeling better.

Well I saw a gain of 0.4 lbs. I'm not surprised considering the good losses I've seen this week and I did have a pretty good sized salad with my steak. If I gain again tomorrow, then I'll be worried.

CdnPaleoGuy - I currantly amd doing CXWorks (A core workout program) Body Step (cardio with the step thing) Aqua Pilates (harder than it sounds) Spin, Body Pump (head to toe workout with light weights) and Floor Pilates. I assume KB = kick boxing. If so the on eat my gym your hitting and kicking air which really is not my thing. If they had bags hanging I would probably be into it.

bmac13 - I think the more you fret over that number the more your body torturers you. Maybe fixate on a sub goal for a bit. You probably will have a weird gap drop in a while if your staying on plan. Assuming your doing Atkins.
