Need some insight am I doing something wrong?

Ive been on adkins for about a week and half now. my 3rd time doing this. I think I have finally learned that my body hates wheat.

So anyways basic menu.

Bacon with tea and coconut oil in the am some times I add an egg

lunch a salad with cheese and full fat dressing and some chicken or steak strips.

dinner steak and lobster with butter baked cauliflower or brussel sprouts with butter and bacon.

or chicken with some alfredo sauce and those yam noodle things. SOrry I cant remember what they are called.

Im working out atleast 5 days a week at least 30 mins aday. drinking water but maybe not enough? I seem to be losing inches but my waist is staying bloated.

Am I just being impatient or should I change something?

Oh and I also and lifting weight for my arms.

I also don't finish my meals as I get full way too fast so im probably in reality eating servings sizes of everything like 3 to 4 oz of steak ect.

Forgot to add the scale has gone up on me. Im in ketosis I have those strips but its like the scale is creeping up slowly on me.

Thanks guys.

CowGurl, if you're losing inches, then it is working, so no worries. If you're working out a lot, the scale numbers may not be moving down, but you're losing inches instead. Don't worry so much. If it were me, I would cut out all the vegetables and sauces and see what happens. Stick to just meat, eggs, cheese, and fats and see if you start losing scale weight. If you do, then slowly add things back in one at a time to see what you can eat and still lose weight.

The diet tweaks I have tried are eating the bigger meals first and smaller ones at the end of the day. Also, cutting out diet soda. I have made sure to not eat anything past 5pm and that has helped. Another thing is just doing eggs for a couple days or a fat fast for a day or so. Making sure I don't eat an enormous amount of calories is also key for me to keep the scale moving. Hope my suggestions help!

Thanks guys I guess I just don't have an patience. Last time I did it I wasn't exercising and the first 2 weeks dropped 10 pounds like that now its not like that and darn it I want a miracle even though I know it doesn't happen over night.

I will continue to eat low carb regardless though cause my stomach cant take carbs.

it's probably the exercise. When I first start to exercise it causes the scale to stall for a few weeks. It's just your body's way of fighting back - it's not fat gain or muscle gain, it's just water being stored in sore muscles. Keep doing what you are doing and see what happens in a few more weeks.

I would also check what is in your condiments, salad dressing and alfredo sauce could potentially have some effects on weight stalls. The cleaner you eat, and less processed your foods are the easier it is for your body to process.

Cauliflower and brussles sprouts can cause bloating in many people. If you're eating them regularly, that could be part of the problem.

Can you share your recipe? I've been hoping to try my hand at it; the bottled versions don't look so appealing.

Somewhere in my Atkins book it says not to go to bed hungry that it slows down the metabolism thought out the night.
I also start the day with eggs and bacon to wake up my motor and start burning off fat right away.
Back when I used to wait to eat my first meal I always ended up with a headache and I think it is because our blood sugar stays so low that when we don't eat, it really drops low.
