Morning all --

Badda - thanks for the protein powder info! I guess I've just got to do some looking around here to see what different places carry. I have a Whey/Soy protein powder that I found to try out, but I'm not very crazy about it. I add it to decaf bulletproof coffee int he evening for dinner sometimes like you had mentioned, but I don't care for the flavor much. It's too soyie (don't think that's a word, but ya get the point!) and kinda tastes like plastic. So I'm on the lookout for a better tasting one. YAY about the loose shirt, that always puts a smile on my face!

Candy - congrats on your sons graduation! I hope you have some time with him before his "life" begins lol, that's what my mom always used to say to us before we left home.

Leanne - sounds like TONS of fun!! glad you're getting to enjoy yourself. Sometimes it's fun to play tourist for a day or so.

Vessel - YAY for some extra sleep I LOVE sleep and I miss it terribly with an almost 2 year old that doesn't like naps running around! Your body can go up or down 2-4lbs overnight without there really being any "cause" so keep pumping the water and YAY for the 1.5lb loss!!

Paleoguy - that's SO much working out! I wish I had the time for all that you're able to do. Not even so much for toning/losing but more for the stress relief. I love a good workout and feeling exhausted after, does a mind and body good!

Freddy - When do your schools start back? It's usually miserably hot here by the first of May so it gets really gross by the 1st of June. I don't understand why they keep kids in school SO long now. We have STAAR testing here in Texas, it's all pretty ridiculous actually but I won't get on that soap box right now, and it is over @ the beginning of may then school is literally glorified baby sitting until they are out. ALL school year is leading up to the test so once it is over, there's nothing left to do really! Our kids watch movies or have free day for most of the last 3 weeks of school, it's kinda ridiculous IMO.

Stayed the same @ weigh in today 186.6, but at least I didn't gain after my big staff/faculty appreciation luncheon yesterda (had a margarita, chicken tortilla soup minus the tortillas, and some spanish rice with beef fajits minus the tortillas) so i'll take it!

Closing down our kitchens today, but hope to check back later. HAVE A GREAT FRIDAY EVERYONE!

justme, agreed about the babysitting. We do starr and a new and improved state test(lol).
We start early August and get out may 20ish depending on the year. We go for 188-190 days, so lots of days.

Ran 3 hot sticky miles this morning on just BPC. No endurance probs so I feel I'm fairly keto adapted.
Made some coconut milk pudding with cocoa powder, truvia and chia powder. I've made it before with xanthan gum but it ends up kinda slimy.

Headed to a First Friday art walk with DD and DW. Might actually drink a daddy drink tonight.

Bonny-Jean: think their hands were tied when he came out with his hands up. Must of been some hard not to cap that SOB after taking out 3 of their own.
Baddabing: nice surprise eh? I had something similiar; my shorts from last year that were 'tight' aren't as tight anymore.
Justme_Sara: It might sound like a lot of working out but I'm sure my DW would tell you that I don't look exhausted when I'm done.

Looks like a busy weekend ahead: they have something called Open Doors here when most of the places you're not allowed in are open to the public. Plus, we have a BBQ at the Church Sunday. When the heck am I going to get my geocaching in?

Alright, feeling the effects of 'happy hour'. Have a good evening folks.

June weight goal: 140. And to remain consistent with my walking (I've walked almost every day for the last 3 weeks).

June 1: 145.4 (walk/arm weights)
June 2: 144.8!!!!!!!!! (walk)
June 3: 145 TOM (a bit of stroll lakeside with DH, but not a real walk like we usually do).
June 4: 145 TOM (walk/arm weights)
June 5: 145 TOM (did a ton of physical work at my mom's to replace walk)
June 6: 145 TOM (walk/arm weights)

Yeppers. 145 seems to be my number this week. Not surprising with TOM hanging around. Yesterday my mom told me I looked "skinny" and today my hairdresser told me I looked "skinny" so there's that.

Looks like everyone is doing well. I had a pretty good day. I forgot to bring my rice bowl lunch to work. I got off really early so I decided to go swimming suit shopping. I found a Tokyo Joes which I had never been to and would you not know it. They have rice bowls and with brown rice so I had it. It was delish but a bigger portion than I normally eat. Did a killer spin workout and a long weight routine so I think my body will find something to do with any excess I might have consumed.

So tomorrow I may do the Saturday class I have been wanting to do or not. I have not decided. I have a lot to do around the house....

OK it seems to me that I have a mechanism in my body that automatically ruins my diet for me.

went to chili's tonight. I looked up the dry rub ribs. Ok, the site said one carb per half rack without the sauce.

I did not eat the sauce. I had broccoli and a little dish of melted butter to dunk it into. That is the only side I ate. I drank water with my meal. I get home and look up other sites for chili's and I got 4 different reports on the same dry rub ribs. I just say UGH.

Morning All

Looks like I'm posting today's weigh in before everyone else.

Sandy and Gracie.... what are you up to??

Candy and Leanne.... you girls are doing great!! KUTGW!!

Congrats to all who see drops today, large and small!!

How different are our bodies..... last night may have been my worst for leg cramps. I probably suffered 5 different wake ups. Funny thing is I haven't had a drop of water in 2 wks while on holidays. Coffee till lunch and then diet coke the rest of the day. Thurs & Fri drinking water all day at work. Have dropped the potassium and doubled up on the magnesium and thought I fixed the problem. I also had a small leafy salad as I only had 1 boiled egg at work. So not only am I allergic to salad but sounds like water is not good for me either! I know how ridiculous that sounds but if you look at the water history, doesn't it sound like that?? Good thing I'm not adverse to meat!

Bonny, so sorry about the leg cramps! Remember, I had to cut down on what I was drinking too. It's weird how our bodies respond to different things. Maybe all that water was flushing too much of the potassium out of your body? I don't know, but it is interesting the things we learn about our bodies on this journey.

Bonny, I bought some spray magnesium. If I get a bad cramp, I spray it on, rub it in and the cramp leaves. Warning: at first I was spraying at night, also sprayed my tummy and found it great for giving me a morning poop. I know TMI. No cramps and poop too. Win/win! However my scale didnt budge, even at induction levels. I read a review that someone wrote that the magnesium is salt. So of ourselves I was retaining fluids. Now I jut use it if I wake up with a cramp.

I've also heard the same thing about mustard! All I have to do is get out of bed, try and stand and it's gone so it would take me longer to run to the kitchen for condiments so I'd like to find something that "prevents" them in the first place. Oh well, just gotta keep trying this and that. Thanks!

Hi Shelly
Does that mean he got the surgery or not?? If not, when is he scheduled??My attacks would be months apart and come on for no reason but each attack was worse than the last.

Maybe Mom could just serve low carb without telling him anything?? I know it won't help when he's out but a little low carb is better than nothing.

Woke up late and feeling like my arms are made of spaghetti noodles. Today’s plan is to get the house in some sort of order and I think I will take my computer back to factory settings to get rid of these pesky issues I am having. If you don’t see me for a day or two it is because I am downloading many, many updates. Or I found out who puts this kind of malicious software out there and personally went to seek revenge.

I did weigh in and I dropped 1.8 pounds and am the lowest I have been so far.

5/31 – 171.0 @ 23%
6/7 – 169.2 @ 22%

princessmommy – I know women were put on this earth to keep us guys from killing ourselves with the crappy things we do to ourselves but I still feel bad for the dude, illness + possible surgery + forced food lifestyle change = misery. Hopefully he comes out the other side healthier and happier.

Dairy Queen – When you guys get to open for Linkin Park you have to get me back stage!

Open Doors part 1: well, I was able to get out early this morning with my buddies for some geocaching. Have no idea yet what kind of mileage we put in but the mosquitoes were quite happy to see us
Thank God for Deep Woods Off!
Got home, had a quick lettuce boat ham sandwich & out the door with the DW & boys. Made it across town with a detour in 40'. But, we finally got to see the Diefenbunker
