I am DONE with panting when I climb a flight of stairs!
I am DONE, DONE DONE!!!

I did great on Atkins before and got off track and I am restarting.

Welcome! I am with you on the being done part: I am so ready to be through with feeling all of those things. We also have a similar ideal final goal in mind. I have also had significant results in the past!

And I am DONE with:

Wearing sandals because it's too uncomfortable to bend over and tie my tennis shoes.
NOT clipping my toenails because it's too much of a hassle.
Feeling tired and old all the time.
Worrying about my size 40 pants not fitting soon.
Wearing sweat pants because my jeans are too tight.
Hanging that nice leather jacket I bought when I was thinner in the closet and thinking I'll never be able to fit into it again.
Living on Omeprazole, or dreading waking up in the middle of the night with a throat full of refluxed acid.

im done with Feeling horrible every single day. Im done with pulling out a pair of jeans I used to beable to wear only to struggle to get them up my hips. and IM done with feeling horrible after I eat wheat.

Oh yeah........ hmm, well thank you for noticing that. I just told somebody today that I have 23 to go??? I think my original goal was 138 but I think that might be a little unrealistic so I added 5 for old age! Oops, there I go again!!!

Ugh, I've been doing this dance between 162 and 161 for almost 2 wks. It's driving me crazy!! Someone called it a "settling weight'. Ever heard of such a thing?? I did Atkins 10 yrs ago and went from 189 to 169 so this is better than last time but I think my vitties are working against me. Believe it not, most healthful things do...... and I am so not kidding!!

5 lbs for age... how is that calculated? **square root of age x _____ - 5 = ? **

I've never heard of "settling weight" in humans, now a bag of flour or sugar, sure. Don't worry about the scales, it's only been a couple of weeks and since you're eating clean -- the scales will cooperate!!!

Bonny Jean, most of our stats are pretty much the same. I am calling my goal 145. I have slowed down so much, I'm going to need that "goal" for my psyche, I think, rather than getting to "no longer overweight" and feeling like I'm not "there" yet.

Agreed. I need that "goal" to keep me going. Not sure why things are so slow. I could see if I was within that 5-10 lb range but I'm still 20+ to go. Oh well, one day I will be there and then I'll have to deal with MAINTENANCE!!
