sixth day on induction and no weight loss

Hi I started lc last Sunday. I lost 8 pounds by Tuesday but by Wednesday they were back and the scale hasn't budged. My whole family is doing lc but I am only checking my son's and my weight. He has lost three pounds. I have been sticking to the diet like crazy, even yesterday when hubby was eating candy. I didn't budge. Here is what I have been eating this week:
Breakfast: eggs and bacon
Lunch: chicken with mayo on top of 1 cup spinach
Dinner: a serving of one of quiches I got from Linda's low carb and broccoli or salad
Desert: sugar free jello
I drink a ton of water because I always feel thirsty since giving up caffeine two months ago. I used to have coffee in the morning followed by 3-4 44 oz diet sodas a day but they were making me sick. Any suggestions?

It's early days yet, but be sure you don't go over 4 ounces of cheese a day.
Check labels for carb count on processed meats, many have added sugar.
What kind of mayo are you using, how much, and what is the carb count?

Casey - you say you may be overdoing it with cheese, but I don't see any on your sample menu, except maybe in the quiche. What else are you eating that you didn't post? Since it's just week 1, I'd just keep doing what you are doing. It can take our bodies a while to catch on. Be patient. If things don't move after a while, look at your calories. While they aren't the most important factor with LC, they can be the reason for our weight not to move if we are over consuming food.

I have been making the quiches off of Linda's website for dinner every night. They all have quite a bit off cheese and cream in them. Plus if I get hungry in between meals I have a habit of grabbing a piece of Bacon or string cheese. I think I may be way over four oz of cheese..still no weight loss but as of today I am cutting out bacon and limiting my dairy.
My mayo is from Aldi and when I just relooked at the label it says no carb but I did notice sugar in the ingredients. Going to replace it asap

Maybe instead of quiche, make some fried eggs and steam up some veggies with butter? Or just limit your cheese to dinner and do not snack on it.

I would only make a few minor changes to your menu by cutting back on the cheese, doing away with the processed meats and holding off on any low carb recipes for now. Keep it really simple and see what happens. I joke and say the less man-handled my food is, the better my losses. It sounds boring but I'm getting lots of variety with minimal effort because my food is either eaten raw or simply heated up.

Thanks bulldogmom and smaller me. I will limit my cheese to once a day and I am tired of bacon anyway so no more processed meats. Will keep it simple for now til I get the hang of this woe.

Bacon should be okay if it doesn't have added sugar. When I think of processed meats, I think of hot dogs, bologna, and pre-packaged deli meats. I'm betting you'll notice a difference pretty quickly when you cut back on the cheese.

Yea I'm excited. It was really hard eating. low carb and not losing weight while watching my husband scarf down pizza and hot fries nearly everyday . I'm. never hungry now which is new to me. I work around food for a living and while my coworkers are pigging out on leftovers Im not even tempted. Its refreshing
