And just being off schedule and away from my regular foods always makes me nervous. BUT I woke up this morning and my tummy felt pretty flat, so I promised myself I WOULDN'T freak out if the scale was up, and I went ahead and weighed this morning. Last Sunday, before I left for my trip, I was at exactly 158. Today, I was at 155.4! I couldn't believe it! I had to get on and off the scale several times! I'm only 5 pounds from goal.
OMG, that is sooooo exciting. There is nothing better than reward after hard work. Congrats!!!

I had a pretty lazy day yesterday but felt like I deserved it. Of course, that lazy day always includes cleaning the house on the weekends since I don't have time during the week (well...I don't MAKE time during the week! HA!) So I did clean the house but other than that it was Lifetime Movies most of the day! I love days like that....I can't have them too often because I feel like a slug by the end of the day but I do like to have them every once in a while.

And...now it's Monday...so starts the work week. Sigh. But, Saturday is a date with my sister and I CAN'T WAIT. I haven't seen her in a while and she's moving all far away in a couple of months so I'm really looking forward to spending some time with her. She won't tell me what we are doing but it's going to be lots of walking since she knows I like to hit my 10,000 steps per day!

Anyway....

May 1 - 207.2
May 2 - 206.6
May 3 - 206.2
May 4 - 206.0
May 5 - 204.8 - Happy Cinco de Mayo to anyone who celebrates!
GOAL FOR MAY - 199.anything! ONEderland! - adjusting the goal a little...I want to be FIRMLY in ONEderland meaning that the typical bounce doesn't take me out of that ONEderful place...hopefully by the end of the month. BUT, I will be ecstatic with 199.anything so..yeah!

Sandy: don't worry about that scale too much while you're experimenting. It will not be your friend. Might yo-yo quite a bit.

Good drops to all today.

Good morning! It's a beautiful sunny day here in the Burgh. Unfortunately all the road construction has started which made my usual 10 minute drive to take my son to high school about 35 minutes!!! Then my middle daughter Gracie goes to elementary school but I was able to avoid the construction. Now tomorrow after I take the first two to school my little one goes at 9:00 am to preschool at the high school. By the time I get everyone to school I'm annoyed and exhausted!! LOL I am very grateful that I work from home and don't have to then fight traffic to work.

Anyhoo, the party was awesome! I stayed perfectly on plan but my rings feel a little snug today. I'm wondering if the dry rub wasn't perfect? I'm not stressing over it - I had deviled eggs, roast beef, and a few wings. I abstained from everything including the cake - that in itself is unbelievable as cake is my favorite!

I will weigh again maybe Friday. I got a ton of compliments yesterday that I looked great and lost weight. So even if the scale isn't moving at a miraculous speed, the inches are definitely shrinking.

Great job everyone on the losses posted!!! I'm trying to get everyone's name down, there's so many people!!! So forgive me for no personals until I have time to read everything. Have a great day

I am in! I kind of dropped out for a few weeks and have been maintaining, but I still have 15 pounds to go to get to goal so I want to get back on the wagon, so to speak, for a couple more months at least, until I am officially in maintenance.

5/5: 136.0 this morning.

Gracie, I loved your pics! My youngest just turned 5 in March. Great job staying on plan!

Sandy, Don't you wish scale bounces burned calories? Like Bonny-Jean said, don't worry about that scale right now. There are so many reasons your weight could be all over the place and not a single one due to what you ate.

Bonny-Jean, How are you doing with those cramps? Did you have a better night?

Kimber, Little drops add up to big losses! You're doing great!

Candy, Nice drop! Onederland is right around the corner!

Nikki, Glad to see you back!

Shelly, Did you ever get back to the dr? If you're staying on plan, I'd say to heck with that scale.

Thanks BDM!!! Is your youngest a boy or girl? I have a boy (almost 15), girl (11) and girl (5). I can't even fathom she's going to kindergarten this year.

YES! Bonny, how were the leg cramps last night??? Hope you got some relief!

Shelly, are you doing a strict induction? Maybe that would help you jump start things again.

Nice drop BulldogMom!

Thanks Gracie and BulldogMom.... no coffee 2 nights in a row although I drank almost 2 ltrs of diet coke each night but NO NITE LEG CRAMPS????
Was it the caffeine??? I'm guessing maybe there's only trace amounts in diet pop?? I don't know. I hadn't upped the vitamins yet cause I really needed to see if it was the coffee so maybe it is?? Hmm? Thanks for asking.

Maybe this chart will help. It looks like coffee has a lot more caffeine than the diet pop. I never knew this either! Looks like 36 gms for diet pepsi verse 115+ gms for the coffee.

Gracie, I did not need to see that list. LOL Diet Sunkist has caffeine?!!! Good to know before I let the kids have a taste. I have two girls, 8 yrs and 5 yrs. I think my youngest will do fine in kindergarten. She isn't as shy as my oldest and loves to be in school around the other kids.

DQ, Does traveling on airplanes make you retain water? I always felt swollen for a few days afterwards. But no biggie, you're a pro at getting back on track and dropping those pounds.

Bonny-Jean, Good to hear you had a better night! My guess to the caffeine being the culprit is that it might dehydrate you enough to get your vitamin levels off balance. I'm just now learning from other issues that magnesium and calcium need to balance each other out. A deficit in one can create too much of another. Weird.

MtherGoos, Thanks for the support! I hope you're having a great time!

I know I saw that too!!! I thought root beer and orange soda was caffeine free. I knew there was sugar but not caffeine. No more Orange Crush!!! Erin is my 5 year old and she is the most outgoing of my kids too. She loves preschool and I'm sure kindergarten will be good too. My 11 year old has been experiencing some girl drama with bullying and such. It seems like when they get older it starts...

Good Morning everyone!

I had a bad weekend and gained instead of loss.. I am wondering if its the atkins endulgence bars..I eat at least one a day as a replacement meal or snack. I work two jobs so eating 3 square meals a day is not working for me..has anyone else had a problem with the bars?

A lot of people have issues with the bars. I can eat them on occasion but not every day. Are you looking for something that is quick to eat or something that doesn't need to be heated up or refrigerated?

I could not lose with those bars at all!!! Plus, they were so addicting and set off major cravings. I read somebody would cut one of the bars up into little pieces and put in a baggie in the fridge. If they absolutely had to have something they would grab one piece.

I need something that does not have to be reheated or refrigerated..I leave one job at 5 and start the next at 6 with a 30-40 min drive in between. I only get a 15 minute break, so I need something that I can grab eat and get back to work.
