LOL THANKS!!!! I probably will forget to play anyway. How about my neighbor down the street just won 1.2 million dollars split 8 ways with his coworkers?!!!! We're guessing they each got around $100K after taxes. The kicker was 22 people were in for a few weeks prior because the jackpot was higher. The other 14 opted out because it went back down the the million That would be MY luck!!!

Oh boy, I miss one day and there's so much that I don't know where to start!

DQ, Awesome drop!! And you just never know when you might need 4 pairs of the same shoes! I have shoe issues! LOL

Bonny, I'm sorry you're not happy with your car! I LOVE mine! It's not convertible, but it's still a bada** looking car.

Yeah, Gracie, that would be my luck too! I never play, but I sure would love to win!

Sandy, Bonny is right, clothes shopping is a whole different experience now! I LOVE it, whereas before I never would do it. I hated it. I just had to buy the biggest tent that would fit over all my fat and now I can pick out cute clothes that actually express my personality..... in fact I maybe love it a little too much! But I figure I'm making up for lost time.

Oh, and somebody mentioned muffins??? I'm not sure which version of Atkins you're doing, but I did make the most amazing strawberry cream cheese muffins for my BF yesterday. Keep in mind he's in maintenance, but these are still super low carb. It was just 1 package of cream cheese, 2 eggs, and 1 package of sugar free strawberry jello mix. Mix it all up until smooth and put in muffin tins and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes or so. So so good and very low carb, but I know not everyone eats cream cheese. If you do, these might be worth trying.

Now I know how Sandy feels when she's on here alone in the mornings and has nobody to play with! Nobody has been on since this morning, where is everyone? Hopefully out enjoying the glorious weather! It's 110 here today and I would love to be out on the water, but I'm stuck at work.

I have to say, I'm really having a hard time wrapping my head around the "new" me. For instance, I was buying a new tank top on Sunday night and I held up the size medium and asked my BF if he thought it would fit. He said, "No, I think it looks too big". I told him that never in my life have I been a Small, and bought the Medium. Sure enough, it was too big. My daughter send me 2 Adirondack chairs for Mother's Day, and I finally sat in one for the first time this weekend. I was so afraid that I was going to break the chairs because I was too heavy for them. I wonder how long it takes to realize that things are so different?

I saved a pair of jeans that I wore in high school. They are a size 8 (which I think is a 6 in todays sizes). I thought I was so chubby back then!! I can't believe that I was EVER that small!!! I'm not sure if I will ever be able to wear them again but I'm not going to make up my mind about that this far out!!

So MG in answer to your question....I'm not sure I will ever realize my true size because I have never seen myself as thin----even when I weighed 123 pounds!!

Mthergoos: Aren't those NSV just the best thing to lift our spirits. I love them when they happen. I forgot to mention I got into my Harley leather jacket the other day AND zipped it up! It's still snug but I got it on!! Yay!!

Kimber, you will get into those pants again! All the pants I'm buying right now are a 3/4!!! I never would have thought that possible a year ago.

Its been a busy couple of days. I got to sleep in three days straight and as a result this morning I was so discombobulated! It took several hours for me to stop making silly mistakes.

Anyway, have a great week.

Paleo Guy - I was experimenting with gel packs for a while a year ago. I don’t like them because you have something you have to find a place for when you take them. I found one that were like jelly beans. I liked those because you could put one in your mouth and nurse it as you ran. Probably not so much of a spike.

week three, weight loss for the week was 1.4 oz. I will not give up. I am losing slow. I gave up most of sweet n low. Bought Splenda today, but that says less than 1 carb a pack also.. Going to look for TAB cola payday. I do not eat over two oz cheese a day, hardly use heavy whipping cream. today I had, for breakfast, bpc. and a small piece of roast beef. lunch was wings , eight of them with butter and very little hot sauce. dinner will be two eggs cooked somehow with probably a piece of roast. Maybe a lettuce leaf thrown in. I cut back my caffeine also. I am still sticking to it. Copy and Pasting to put on other board

Morning All

Sandy: LOL. I'm so happy that your maintenance is not making you crazy. You understand the ups and downs and seem to be okay with the up days and I'm glad about that. Lifelong woe, right!!! All the best, hon!!

Vessel: Hmm, 1.4 does sound a little light this early in the game??? Are you telling us every little thing?? No offence intended, I just wonder if there isn't a little something there that might be slowing your losses. You'll have to forgive me please cause I don't speak as diplomatically as others.

Kimber: Told you!!!

Mthergoos: as always!!!

Great day here yesterday although crazy warm... almost 90!!
Got the trimming done, mowing done, 3 large trees planted, 1 bush, several flowers, did some tilling then back to the nursery for more plants!!!!
Exhausted last night. Thought I'd sleep really well but only 5.5 hrs sleep and up at 4:45!
Seems I got enough sun to surpass the "faux" tan. and the scale FINALLY moved! Yay!!

BTW: going to pick up my new "new" car. Just wasn't happy with the other. Deal wasn't bad. Of course I would have done better financially selling it privately but didn't wanna deal with that hassle. Here's a pic of my old ride and the new I'm picking up in a few hours. Went from a 200 to a 300 S. Nice!!! I fear I'm really gonna miss the convertible top though but at my age does it really matter??? I think not!!!

I wish you all a wonderful day with good losses and lots of sunshine!!!

Bonny....Love your new car, its a shame your other one didn't work out but this one is also lovely looking, the colour is lovely, let us know how it goes.
So glad you got into that gardening, you will have a lovely summer watching it all grow, lucky you having heat....here we are still in rain mode and thick cloud, I am actually getting pretty sick of it now, I have plants all over my deck that need planting but everything is just to muddy and wet to do anything, northern England have now been given flood warnings so they must be having more rain than us...well I am off to the shops for food as I have to get my weight back to below 150....I feel pretty good at this weight but don't want to go higher so back to being good for me, but I am still learning what makes the scale go up and down and it is really interesting, I have it all logged in a journal so I can look back over the previous week to see my mistakes....I am making lots of them....its a brilliant journey though.

Mthrgoos....I now weigh more than you lol....

Sheila....Glad you are hanging in there...someone will help you sort this out just don't give up.

Kimber....Doing a happy dance for you as well, well done.....

Hi ya'll! Sorry i've been MIA for a few days. Things are so busy right now. My Dad is still in the hospital Been in there almost a week waiting on gallbladder surgery. He was supposed to get it done yesterday morning but they found out he has bronchitis! He spiked a high fever night before. I was at the hospital yesterday from 7:00am till after Noon waiting to see if he'd have surgery. He's so disapointed and so is Mom. Hopefully he'll get to have it done in the next few days after he's over the bronchitis. So needless to say I ate crappy yesterday. Not sugar crap just breaded chicken etc. Not much to choose from where I was and no way to go get anything differant. I have a dentist appt this morning then i'm going to go visit dad again. I hate that he's sick! Gotta say though i'm curious to see how much weight he's lost drinking broth Lol

Good morning.
I went to the store last night to stock up on food....I got some good deals going shopping at night. Cooking up some sausage links right now. And I bought some ground flax for minute muffins...can't wait to make an egg mcmuffin. lol

Today I have to take my two youngest boys to get a new tire for my van. It's very frustrating to take them to the car place. Theres nothing to do...hoping we are in and out quickly.

A problem I am having is cooking for the rest of my family. I feel like I'm not putting any effort into their meals anymore, like I can't think about making other food...idk, I guess I'm not wanting to cook it so I'm not doing well at it anymore. They aren't very happy at me right now. I feel like I can't focus on cooking. It's weird.

Oh, hopefully going to see my mom today, and she has the scale I last weighed myself on so that's good, I'll see how much I weigh finally, after being on the WOE for 9 days so far. But I'm VERY nervous...what if I haven't lost anything and I get discouraged. I almost don't want to weigh. Maybe I won't. Plus, TOM has been here this week so idk...maybe I will wait a couple more days before I weigh in.

Good morning! Back on track again - sticking to induction right now. Went to DS's athletic banquet last night. It was very nice. He lettered in Track & Field which is good for being a freshman. He was 2 quarters short for a letter in football. He's the backup QB though and we figured being in 9th grade would be difficult. Very proud of him though!

Here's a pic of him and his girlfriend from last night. Sorry, it's a little blurry!

Morning everyone!! Oh I spent the past two days just cleaning ONE ROOM in my house! my bedroom! i have a LOT of clothes to go to the thrift store! I sell vintage clothes on ebay, so i put aside a bag to sell. My problem is - not enough time to take the pix and measure. ugh.... I got rid of all my old pants - sizes 4 and 6 - cause even though they fit, they are WAY baggy in the thighs. i found some nice pants that fit and look really good- a pair of gucci and a pair of prada! whee !

I have two gigs this weekend including being featured and being the backup band for an Everly Brothers tribute, so i've been practicing for that. Tonight i'm taking my boyfriend out to dinner for his birthday (which is Friday) and that should be fun. I got him a gopro for his bike rides. Anyhoo... i've been very very strict and going back down weightwise. It sure is harder going down than up! haha! the thing is, I never even realized that i was gaining a pound every two or three weeks! I NEED to weigh every morning to keep focused. OK later~!!!!

Hi everyone!
Wow so much has happened since the weekend, how can I ever catch up!!! Its been pissing rain here since Friday which is muchos annoying since it was our last long wknd till August. Typical English weather!

Something is wrong with me - have jumped way up to almost 78kg when I was sitting nicely at 75kg only last month. i don't know whats going on. Haven't had anything out of the ordinary. Feel slightly bloated but nothing that supports 3 extra kgs. The ketostix are always around medium (just above dark purple). Have kept well below the 20g carb count. Am very frustrated. Am trying not to become disheartened.

MG, that feeling never goes away. When I was younger, was 110kg till around the age of 30 when I got down to sz 4. I never ever could recognise that I wasn't huge. That others would find me attractive. Even when sitting in a plane seat, was always worried would spill over. Even though I knew what size to shop for, always picked something way bigger. Even now, I still think I'm back to that size. I don't know if its something that ever goes away.

Someone posted about new clothes? Sorry it wouldn't let me go back to see your post. But was going to suggest - something I always do is take your previously best fitting jeans that are too big and search on ebay for the same ones just in a smaller size. For me, its 7Sevens in Dojo in the super dark rinse. I have them in six different sizes starting from 24!!! My around the house ones are Oasis Garnets - I never buy new ones, and generally am saving around £40 a pair just by buying them on ebay used. That also means you don't have to go to the store and try things on!

Congrats on the clearing out DQ! Wow, you have so much more closet space to go shopping now I need to do some clearing soon but am pretty good as I generally do it a couple times a month when ebay has free listing days so I keep things ticking over (except I kept buying new things on ebay too).

Anyway, congratulations Kimber!!!
So sorry about your Dad, Shelly, hope he gets over the infection asap so he can have the gallbladder op (I had mine out at 16).
Tcircle, I don't think its that bad if you delay breakfast till you want it - I don't have mine till around 1130 in the morning, but then make it my main meal of the day as Atkins suggested. Can you not make your family a low carb meal too or just make additions to what you are eating for them? I only have to cook for myself so not sure how I would handle that. I know when I throw dinner parties, I just add in some carb things for the others and stick with the normal stuff myself. Or do they not want to eat similarly?
Bonny, another new car? Is this to throw your stalker off your trail???
Sandy, treading water yet? What kind of May is this? Bring back the sun!

Must dash as need to finish some reports then hit the gym as trying to keep up wit my bodypump sessions. Tonight am going to attempt the sauna again given I only lasted 5min on the wknd! How is yoga going Sandy?

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Hi Everyone! Haven't been on the scale in a few days. I figured I'm due for a bounce, so why tempt fate. I haven't changed anything about my eating though, I'm sticking to exactly the same menu for now, but I have started exercising. I've been walking a couple of miles every night, and last night was my surfset exercise class, which was a LOT of fun!

My son gets into town on Sunday, and since he's flying into Vegas, it only seems right that we stay the night in Vegas and make a trip out of it! LOL Any excuse to hang out for a night in Vegas! We are definitely doing the Slotzilla Zipline down Fremont Street, so I'm very excited about that too!!

DQ, that's an important lesson for maintenance, so thank you for sharing! Instead of avoiding the scale, I need to be sure to face up to it....OFTEN!

Gracie, Congratulations to you and to your son! He and his girlfriend are adorable!!

tcircle, I remember the days well of having to take my 3 very small boys to run errands, so I feel your pain! Hang in there! And if you don't want to jump on the scale, then don't. If you're staying on plan, then that's what matters. Weigh when you're ready.

Shelly, hope your dad gets to feeling better soon and I hope they're able to get his gallbladder out soon! It's just not right that they've let him wait so long!

Sandy, you're so smart to keep a journal so you know what works for you and what doesn't. I'm thinking if I just add one thing each week, so how it works, and take it back it out if I start gaining I'll be good, but it might be better to write it all down. When you get tired of that rain, come visit me, it's 110 and sunny here!

Bonny, WHOO HOO!!!! Nice drop!! And I love the new car! Are you happier with it?

Kimber, Nice drop!!

Vessel, don't give up so many things that you're making yourself miserable. That's not what this way of eating is about. Chances are, the caffeine isn't affecting you, so don't give it up unless you want to. You have lost, so that's what matters. Keep doing what you're doing and it will happen and the losses will add up.

James and Paleo Guy, I'm telling you, we need to team up and come up with a ketogenic gel fuel type of thing for runners.

Thanks MotherGoos! Great job on adding in exercise. I plan on walking today as well, even if it's only for a little bit I know I'll feel better!

Gracie, I keep feeling like I'm trying to find that balance of getting in exercise to feel better and maybe burn just a few calories, but not make the scale jump up. I feel like I need to not stress about the scale, as long as I'm keeping my eating in check, and go ahead and get a good work out in...... but that's easier said than done.

I find that when I exercise my mood is better, I sleep better, I'm overall a happier person. It probably will cause a temporary jump on the scale because of the muscle repair but I'm not weighing a lot right now, maybe once a week. I think you will be just fine exercising since you are at goal. The way I look at it, you can eat a little more because you just burned it off (not for me, but for you). Unfortunately though, a lot of people I know who exercise weigh more than you would think. But, they look smaller! Double edged sword I guess

well, I did weigh myself and I only lost 4lbs. I'm not sure what to think but if I had to be honest, I wasn't TOTALLY on plan the whole 9 days. I drank that coffee the other day, with real sugar in it...and I had a small glass of wine on Memorial day. I also ate raspberries one day and almonds one day. I guess the only thing to do is keep up eating clean. I may not be happy about only losing 4lbs, but I have to start somewhere. And if I wasn't eating LC, I may have gained 4lbs instead. So I guess I'll take that.

4 pounds in 9 days is pretty good! But do keep in mind that each cheat can set you back several days, so when you consider that, 4 pounds in 9 days is pretty excellent.

Wow, can't believe how close we are to June!
MtherGoos: the gel would be easy, put some ghee in a packet with a little flavouring & there you go
PrincessMommy: hopefully the gallbladder isn't causing your Dad a lot of pain waiting for it to get removed
Bonny-Jean: so did you park in front of the stalker's house so they know what model car to get next? Nice car; too bad about the creepy neighbour
Haven't made it to the gym in the last few days, lots of other stuff going on. Should be gym night tomorrow as there is nothing on the calendar.
Have a good evening folks...
