MtherGoos: there's something for you to invent: you'll make millions with all the paleo/keto adapted runners out there
Sandy1: not a bad season eh? We have the 14 yr old watching it. He's better at detecting when someone is about to get axed that we are! It's all about the music
Well, my 7+ hrs in the sun handing out water etc earned me a mild sunburn. Have some coconut oil on it atm but will try some apple cider vinegar after supper with more coconut oil.
Ok, am off to pick up Junior. Later

I'm up on the scale, but I don't know how much. When dh is home, I can't weigh as soon as I get up because he hogs the bathroom our scale is in. I went back later and the scale said 194.8...up from 193.2. I was mad and got over it. My only choices yesterday were the Atkins bar in my purse or the bar-b-que (no bun and a vinegar sauce). Everything else at the festival was the typical battered and fried junk. I'm just hoping that I'll be back down to 193 tomorrow.

CdnPaleoGuy, I hope your sunburn feels better. I've heard good things about using vinegar but the thought makes me cringe. It sounds like it would hurt.

Shelly, I hope your dad is feeling better. The whole situation with the VA and our veterans is horrible. They deserve so much better.

Sandy, Are you a Game of Thrones fan?! I love that show. I got dh to start watching it with me and know he is hooked. Everything about it is brilliant.

Congrats to all of the losers! Everyone who saw a gain, you weren't alone and we'll just work hard to get it off again. I read every post, just too tired to process a lot of info at the moment.

Bulldogmom....It sucks when that scale goes up...it will come back down again, you are doing so well.....yes my fav night of the week is Game of Thrones lol, my dh had season one on his laptop and I was having problems sleeping a while ago so I was watching one episode after the other...by episode 3 I was hooked lol....I love it when they kill someone important to the show as it just blows my mind lol....try not to worry about the scale, tomorrow it will be down...

Cndpaleoguy.....I will start taking more notice of the music lol....cool that your 14 yr old is watching it with you.

I have been eating so healthy over the last while and then tonight blew it and ate chocolate....I could kick myself....where do those craving come from.....

I'm back because I just can't stay away. LOL But I think I've come up with a decent pancake recipe. I just took an egg, threw in some hwc, a little cinnamon and a little splenda. Mixed it pretty good and fried it. I have no idea what the amounts are since I was just playing around. My dh wouldn't be impressed with the "pancake" but it beats having plain old eggs again.

BullDogMom, have you tried the pancakes that are just 2 eggs, 2 ounces of cream cheese, and a little splenda? Some people add some vanilla to them too. I made them for my BF when he had his tooth pulled and I took a bite of one of his and it was YUMMY!!! So good with just butter on them. One of those things I will probably avoid, because I could easily overeat them. They are a little thin, but I think that just using a small pan to make them smaller but thicker works pretty good.

I tried those last night and I'm up even higher on the scale. Cream cheese always makes me gain. But the egg fasting people swear by this pancake. I didn't eat any veggies yesterday because I overdid it on sodium and carbs the day before with the salad and bar-b-que. So the only thing I can think of is the cream cheese.

I've been doing a lot of reading over the past few days. I don't think my issues are thyroid related. I feel like its the symptoms of PCOS have gotten worse. I didn't realize it, but one of the common complaints of PCOSers, is hair thinning. The bad news is that there isn't a standard treatment for everyone and its pretty much a guessing game as to who will respond to what. I'll be seeing my family dr tomorrow and will ask for a referral to an endocrinologist. Its more than just the hair and I'm slowly realizing all the other odd symptoms might be related (bloating, exhaustion, etc).

Thanks we love her so much already. Her personality is just starting to come out to us.
Bulldogmom I hope you get your appointment with a experienced endocrinologist.
I can't imagine the frustration you are feeling. Make sure to write down all your symptoms.
DQ what a drop! I bet you burned a ton of calories whip performing out in the heat.
Sandy and Bonnie we will happily take you rain, my lawn is crunchy!

DH and I sat down to talk about my maintenance plan. As I have, said before I have lost the weight in the past
https://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/a...1&d=1401178601
This time I'm keeping it off.
Me and the scale are going to remain tight. Basically I told him that when we go out for pizza and beer it will be low carb beer and pizza toppings with a salad. I can't eat the crap I used to or it will come back.
I have lots of time to prepare.

This is my inspirational group.

I love it when I have a couple of nights off. That is when my weight drops the quickest. I have arthritis and working makes me swell so a few nights in bed and....whoosh, gone goes the water weight.

I am so wanting to get to goal! Talk about being super motivated, I got into th closet to find some smaller jeans and they go from baggy size 12s to a couple of 10s then nothing till 4s and 2s. I might have to hit up the good will soon. It would be great to skip 8 and 6 but realistically I will need to shop. I think last time I did alot of skirts but my job requires jeans.

How do you all handle your wardrobe situations? I love to shop but I don't want to shrink out of New stuff us know?

Leanne...well done on your losses, totally brilliant....as for the clothes situation I have been putting it off for ages now, I honestly hate shopping, trying things on, getting hot and bothered, so far I have been wearing my normal clothes which are now all baggy, which was fine until I was in the garden last week and my shorts fell down....so I have been told by my dh that I have no choice but to go and buy some new clothes...I am still putting it off though lol, but will have to go one day this week I think....I don't seem to have smaller clothes I must have gotten rid of them when we moved, now I wish I had hung onto all of them.....ok I know none of that helped you lol, I am just rambling with my coffee inbetween cleaning...as guess what....its raining here again....I am slowly running out of things to clean where we have had so much rain....

Thank you for the chuckles. If your pants are sliding off it is time to shop!
I found a space bag with some more smaller sizes. So hubby is happy I won't need to shop so soon. (I just spent too much getting a new sport bra and clothes for the gym)

I'm trying SO hard not to get frustrated but I haven't lost anything in the last week!! WTH?! This weight should be falling off of me. I could see this kind of crawl if I had 20 some pounds to lose but I have 140 pounds to go!! At this pace, I may make it to goal in 10 years or so.

Anybody else encounter this when you still had mega weight (100lbs) to lose?

Morning All

Sandy: OMG, you crack me up sometimes shorts falling off in the garden I got a visual so you really make me chuckle. You know shopping will feel a whole lot different now. It won't be a chore to find clothes that "hide you" anymore, now you can buy clothes YOU LIKE!!! Great feeling for sure.

Candy: Doing amazing!!! You've got this!!!

Kimber: Have you seen some of our stats!! Everybody sticks once in a while. Patience is one of the biggest recipes for success! You just have to be patient while your body catches up and it will. How many things in life are as guaranteed as this woe?? Honestly, if you stay on plan YOU WILL be successful. Simple as that. Think of it as this is how I eat everyday, don't obsess about that scale and when you least expect it.... whoosh!! Be happy my friend!

Why have I lost my interest in gardening???? Finally went for flowers etc yesterday and I had no enthusiasm for picking and certainly not for all the planting I have to do? I used to get pleasure and even mental therapy doing this, now it just feels like work? Wish I knew why? I have trees to plant, new bushes to plant, EE bulbs to plant, flowers, hosta to move, ferns to move........... yeah, that does sound a lot of work... oh, let's not forgot lawn to trim and mow before I start all that. UGH!!! Well, it's good exercise if nothing else!

Wishing you all a great scale day and some blessed sunshine!!

Really wish I was over there to give you a hand Bonny, I would love some nicer weather to do some gardening, it sounds so exciting all you have to do outside...weird how your enthusiasm has gone....I hope it comes back as it is the most amazing feeling in the world playing in the dirt....maybe its because there is quite a lot to do as I know when I feel overwhelmed by to much of anything it puts me off, so it could be it just feels like to much, but I bet as soon as you start you will just get lost in it all......
Is your cousin still with you or has she gone home now.

Cuz here till June 4th. Yay. She just says she thinks it's the TREES that are off putting. Hmm, where did I get that phrase???
8:30 already and I'm still sitting here in jammies drinking my coffee! LOL.

Pretty much done with my new convertible.
1. Neighbor/co-worker buys the same car.
2. Feel like I'm in a "soaker tub" when driving
3. Have to replace torn weatherstripping along the windshield. What????

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.
Hey! You don't have to drink all that water!

Good Morning! Glad to see everyone had a great weekend. I had a nsv on Saturday, worked hard organizing some closets and the spare room, and took dd out for ice cream at a place that has over 100 different types of shakes/sundaes, and all I got was iced water. And we went to a bbq at my MIL's house, and I ate clean. I still haven't weighed yet. Maybe today or tomorrow.

On Sunday though, I had a slight set back. I don't even know why it happened, just out of habit...I was making my morning coffee half asleep still, put SUGAR in it, the same heaping 2TBS! that I was used to...sit down on the couch to wake up, drank most of it and I was like wow this coffee is so amazing I really needed it .... than it just HIT me, OMG I put sugar in this crap. so I poured the rest out, but by then it was too late, I had drank most of it. I didn't let it affect my day though, I went right back on the WOE. I just wanted to be totally honest.

oh...and I've been having trouble eating breakfast, which I know isn't good for my metabolism and setting me up for failure by getting too hungry too quickly, once I do want to eat. I've never been good at eating in the am. I have so much stuff I do in the morning....ugh, I really need to get some ground flax so I can make minute muffins.

Hi everyone! Got back from the lake around 9:30 last night. I am WHOOPED today! I need to hit the lottery and just quit work and hang on the water all day I ate pretty good but drinking is another story. I had some beers every day. We played a lot of corn hole - had a tournament. Me and DH came in 2nd out of 10 teams We are very competitive! We went out on the water but it was too cold for me to get in. All the kids went swimming, tubing, kayaking, fishing... I did fish for a little bit but didn't catch anything. My DD Erin has a pink fishing rod and she put it in the water (baited) and then left to go play. She caught TWO fish this way!!! The fish was just sitting on her rod when some of the boys checked

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I need to catch up on the posts!

Kimber you have lost just shy of 10 pounds in one month! That is fantastic. Your body goes through stages, you lost a lot of water when you first started and now your body is balancing it out. Did you take measurements? If you don't lose "weight" l bet you are losing inches. Stay strong you will succeed.

Tcircle I often do not eat breakfast. I do not find it to be a problem. I eat when I'm hungry, just make sure you are keeping track of the whole days totals.

Gracie sounds like you had a great time. Good luck with the lotto.

Bonny sorry about the car woes. Hope it gets better.

Candy you are rockin it as well! Love to see these 10 pound a month losses.

Everyone stay strong! I am off to eat some baked turnips and zucchini then get some sleep before work tonight.
