Not sure what that bounce up is all about except that I may have had more than 4 oz of cheese 2 days ago. In my low-fat, low calorie days this scale reading would have had me heading to the kitchen to have anything and everything I wanted!! Today, I look at that number and KNOW that it has to be I'm holding onto some water because I KNOW that I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing. I don't have to run to the kitchen to have a pity party for myself. Today, I will eat what I know I'm supposed to and because of that, I won't have the guilt (or the weight gain) I used to get when I lost control! I am in control and it feels good!! That stupid scale will eventually indicate that I am doing things right.

Hope everyone has a fun weekend planned!! I'm a pretty boring person, so my weekend will consist of putting a new ceiling up in my powder room and then relaxing!

Wow, MtherGoos is shrinking. Thought I saw someone mention tan lines, were they talking about the pedicure pics?
Our major rain storms that have been predicted since Thursday still haven't rolled in. Heck, I could have been a weatherman; according to my DW, I'm never right either
So I'm enjoying some BPC & catching up. Expecting a friend to show up in town this afternoon & then we're off to combat the mosquitoes.
Tomorrow, we're volunteering for the big Ottawa race weekend. Handing out the water/gatorade to those going by. Last year, we had some guy collapse about 20' from our stand

Bulldogmom - Have you had your vitamin D levels checked? I thought I would have been good but my last blood test showed my levels at 9....I think they were supposed to be somewhere between 50 - 75. It was alarming enough for my doc to put me on 50,000 mg vitamin D once a week for 12 weeks. After I finished I'm no longer tired all the time, my hair and nails are growing like nobody's business (WOOO!) and I feel great! I now take 2,000 mg per day as a part of my daily routine.

Mthergoos - CONGRATS! OMG, you must feel sooooooo amazing at achieving your goal, just look at you!

tcircle - I didn't find I was overly thirsty but I already drank 80 - 100 oz of water per day prior to starting so that could be why. Just listen to your body and fill it with as much water as it wants!

Nice drops today ladies!! Yay for you's. Sandy, I guess at the maintenance level, I stick is a wonderful thing!!

Busy day with cuz. Picked up 3 x 6' cedars, then 6 bags of dirt, went to the graveside and best of all...... got whistled at going thru a construction zone!!!
Ha-ha too funny. Had they seen my old face under those giant, granny sunglasses I was wearing, it may not have happened. I guess we had a "Thelma & Louise" thing going on. Great day.
Hey, why didn't anybody ever talk about Five Guys burger joint??? OMG, I had the most "Atkins" friendly burger of all time!!! Was supposed to mow today but it's already too HOT here!! High of 91!! Too hot for me!!

Today is my weekly run around the house and get stuff done. I can’t slack because we are hosting BBQ on Monday. My daughter abandoned me to spend the day with my wife at the hair salon. I suppose she could use the free help. Actually now that I think about she kinda owes us for the $1,000’s of free services she has received there! Now I hope she gets worked like a dog!!!!

After spending 20 mins looking for my stats in previous posts I am going to put them all here so I can find them next week. I must say I am pleasantly surprised at todays results.
5/10 – 173.6 @ 24.8%
5/17 – 175.6 @ 24.8%
5/24 – 172.6 @ 23.2%
I think the tweaking I did worked. I shall continue this plan next week.

Paleoguy – Upon inspection my Mazda 3 is damaged my wife’s new Mazda 3 is not. I told my wife if I had a Jeep like I wanted that it would have weathered the storm. She did not agree……

BulldogMom – I always wanted to try paddle boarding. No where near here does it. Maybe on my next cruise. I do plan on getting in one of those canoes this year if I can free up some time. The REI in Denver has a river that goes right by it and they do lessons. One day I want to do the thing where they flip over in the water then come back up.

MtherGoos – Why do I hear that guy in the soccer games when someone makes a goal yelling? Congrats

And as far as days off, I don’t think they do it for the kids. I think if you dig deep a union is involved somewhere. It forces people like me, who don’t get paid anything extra if I did show up to take it off because every daycare is closed. But this time I don’t mind. I have a date with a grill and some adult beverages.

Bonny-Jean – 5 guys does know how to make a good burger. That’s for sure.

Good Morning Everyone! Down another half a pound today! YAY! Think avoid the scale for a bit since I know I MUST be due for a bounce! No point in tempting fate!

Bonny, we don't have Five Guys out here, but I've seen them when I visit the kids in Kansas. Now I think I'm going to have to try it! Of course you got whistled at hot stuff!!! Why wouldn't you! I hope you and your cousin thoroughly enjoy your Thelma and Louise week! My sister and I have talked for years about taking a Thelma and Louise road trip, but we've never done it, you are inspiring me to just do it!

James, Nice loss of body fat! That's awesome!!! I'd really like to have mine checked, but I don't think any place around here does it. Enjoy your barbecue!!

The easiest is to get the weight scale that does it while your on it. I used to have one of those back in the day. Any fitness coach type person could do it with calipers which would be the most accurate save the expensive pool thing.

I wasn't sure how accurate the scale type was. Are they pretty good? The problem for me with the calipers is that I have SO much loose skin that I'm not sure if the calipers would be accurate. Do you think that they would still work? I've never had my body fat percentage checked, so I wasn't sure how it worked.

I'm exhausted and will have to catch up with everyone tomorrow. We went and saw the giant duck, which was awesome! Then we ended up at a strawberry festival. I was starving and ate some NC bar-b-q which has a vinegar based sauce instead of tomato. But it usually will cause a gain the next day because of the sodium maybe? After the festival, dh and I dropped the kids off and headed out for a dinner date. I ate a salad and a steak. So I don't know how kind the scale will be tomorrow. (Here's a pick of the duck with my oldest daughter.)

Made it out with a friend from out of town for some geocaching today. Mosquitoes didn't seem that bad.
Bonny-Jean: we have 5 Guys here too! How are you having their burgers; are you going bunless?
Baddabing: I almost bought a car with hail damage...the $$$ was right but I couldn't imagine driving around with a car that looked like a thousand golf balls had hit it.
So, what type(s) of workouts are you doing?
BulldogMom: that is one huge duck; looks like the kids had a blast.
And yes, the storm did finally roll in. My DW has a coffee cup full of hail in the fridge to show the youngest when he comes home.

Of course! And 5 guys was very familiar with a lettuce wrap so much so that I asked them to put my cheese & mayo on the inside and they wrapped the burger really, really well in the lettuce. I asked about fillers in the meat and none.
I asked about 100% beef..... check!
I asked about full fat mayo... check!
It was one of the best burgers I ever had. Tasted just like home made. I might have to order the "little" cheeseburger next time cause the regular 2 pattie is too much for me now.

Stress ate today! My Dad has Gallstones and the VA here was trying to make him wait till June 6th to have surgery! But he spiked a fever so my Mom took him back to the hospital this morning. The Dr gave him a choice of whether to be admited to the hospital and get iv antibotics and Hopefully get surgery Tuesday Or go home with antibotics and have surgery in June! My Dad got admitted! I've been stressed all day! Caved and had some strawberries with whipped cream! I know it Could have been HC crappola I ate but i'm trying So hard to get back into the 140's I kick myself for eatting that!

Sorry about your Dad. Hopefully he's having his gall bladder removed laparoscopically. It's quick, easy and pretty routine. Your Dad will be fine and
bounce back in no time. I had mine done a few years ago and 4 hrs after surgery I was eating Chinese with my family!!

Sandy: Hey, my early morning friend, where are you??

Nice scale day yesterday I see!! Congrats to all!

We broke a few heat records here yesterday and then the skies opened up with a vengeance in the afternoon. Feel so guilty wasting precious time not doing work or a project!!!! Our storm was nothing like Colorado the other day but still intense! Didn't do much. Spent hours drinking coffee, yakking and laughing with cuz at the kitchen table, ran to Walmart, the nursery. A neighborhood cat has realized there's baby bunnies in my yard and has been here the last 2 nights stalking them!!! Eekk, that's all I need to find!!
So far been 100% on plan although I had a little scale bump up this morning. Possibly from extra hwc as I ran out of Silk Coconut?? Don't even know if I'm gonna try the LC Pina Colada??? Even LC is still more carbs then I wanna consume just for a drink? I dunno, we'll see.

Morning Bonnie...I am here, its crazy but I forgot to weigh this morning, I used to have my scales beside my bed but moved them into the bathroom, anyway when I did remember I had drank 2 cups of coffee so decided to wait until tomorrow now.
It sounds like you are having a lot of fun with your cousin visiting, lots of laughing and chatting sounds lovely....you should try some Bacardi and diet coke, 2 ice cubes splash of lime yummy and low carb lol.
Weather here on and off cloud so have been cloud hopping, which is me running back and forth in and out of the house trying to miss the clouds, its lovely with no clouds but as soon as one comes over I am freezing cold, still have my heating on, really need the temps to get a bit warmer.

So last night was an unexpected date night. My Daughter decided to babysit so we could get out of the house. We did Outback (they have a tuna appetizer that was outstanding) then a movie “Neighbors”, then we decided to see what was going down at the neighborhood bar. Turns out they had a band so we stayed and had fun until this creepy guy in a batman shirt would not leave us alone.

So I learned something from the movie. I am the loose fitting jeans of the make human body.

MtherGoos - I don’t think they are accurate in the way that if you calculate 28% that it is truly 28% but I think it will be accurate in so far as to know if your losing or gaining fat. The only true way to know exactly how much of your body if fat is the pool thing as far as I know. I don’t think I have ever seen that thing anywhere. I wonder where you go to do something like that. We have the Olympic Training Center here so I suspect that we have to have one somewhere in town.

CdnPaleoGuy – Mon = CXWorks (Think flopping around on the ground core exercise stuff) Tue = Weights Back and Biceps 30 mins cardio Wed = Pilates in a pool. Thurs Weights Chest/shoulders/triceps’ 30 mins cardio. Fri Spin and someday if I can ever get the energy and wake up in time Sat CXWorks.

PrincessMommy: hope your Dad is ok.
Baddabing: nice mix of workouts. I keep experimenting but always have a mix of cardio for warmup then weights; either free or machines.
Sandy1: I'll have to wait for Game of Thrones before polishing off the Rye...if I bother. My DW like her Rye the same way but hasn't tried the splash of lime.
Well, spent about 7 hours supporting the Ottawa Race weekend. No idea how many runners went by but for some strange reason, I'm seemed to be a magnet for the ladies. My DW said it was because I was the loudest.
The majority of you would shake your heads over the choices the runners get: gel packs, gatorade/water or sliced bananas/oranges. No wonder so many of them konk out!
Finally home & rehydrating. You would think working the water stand you would get plenty eh?
Oh yes, that muffin top pan makes the best oopsies rolls; just had a tomatoe & ham sandwich using them

PaleoGuy, I've searched everywhere for a keto friendly gel pac that is all protein and fat, no sugar, and I haven't found one. You would think that there would be one somewhere!

Cndpaleoguy...Oh my gosh are you enjoying the second season of Game of Thrones, totally amazing....still haven't tried geocaching yet, but hope to in the next few weeks now the weather is sort of getting there.

Shelly, I hope your dad is ok as well, my older sister goes in for her surgery July 7th for the same thing, its good your dad has it over and done with now, is it a long recovery, I am sure Bonnie posted that its pretty quick, I will have to go back and check to see what she said so I can tell my sister....any surgery is scary though.

James it sounds like you had a really fun evening.

Bonnie....Oh no, hope that cat doesn't catch any baby bunnies, our next doors cat caught so many baby birds last year that I wanted to hang a bell round its neck in the end.....hope you are having a drink this evening.
