Down another half a pound today, so 151.0 exactly! Got on and off the scale 4 times, hoping I could get it down into the 150's, but no. When I lose .2, I'm calling goal! LOL

I'm at work --DC is starting to empty out for the holiday weekend. My punk band is playing at an outdoor festival in Baltimore on Sunday, and I am off Monday and Tuesday! the plan is to make my house as liveable as possible in those two days. That means throwing stuff out and packing bags and boxes for goodwill. yes!! isn't it sad that I'm looking forward to two entire days of cleaning?

Have fun DQ! As DC is emptying out, Havasu is filling up! Everyone comes here to party for the long weekend, so we'll be staying home after work each day and avoiding the craziness as much as possible! And I totally understand, when your house is clean and organized, it just feels like all is right with the world.

I wasn't really upside down when I weighed. I saw meme where a lady was on her back with her feet in the air, balancing the scales on her feet. I just thought it was genius. LOL

Gunner found a couple of turtles in our yard. So we took them swimming in my aunt's pool. We'll release them into a duck pond later tonight after my oldest gets home from school. (Disclaimer: No turtles were harmed, the pool is a salt water pool, I realize they can carry salmonella but we washed our hands, etc etc.)

I just saw the results of my blood work and everything looks fine. RBC is a little elevated and MCV/MCH are a little low. So it isn't thyroid. I haven't talked to the dr but I'm wondering, now what? I guess my issues are pcos related.

Bulldogmom ~ I'm not sure exactly what your issues are but I hope they can figure it out for you. It sucks to not feel well. I went through a period of about 6 months where I just didn't feel right. It ended up being from the Nexium that I took for acid reflux. Apparently it lowers magnesium/calcium and I was having side effects including sadness and stomach pain. Maybe go through any meds you are on now and check for side effects?

Thank you for your confidence in me, but knowing the way my body works, it could be WEEKS before I drop down to 150. LOL I'm sorry the blood work didn't give you any answers! Happy Thursday everyone! Well, have finally been discharged from jury duty after our trial finally finished today. Pickles, you could have taken my place!!! Honestly, was doubtful we were going to reach a unanimous decision based on yesterdays deliberations, but finally everyone else saw the light and agreed guilty. We all felt better in court when we found out four others had accused him of the same but retracted their statements as were too scared to go ahead. Honestly, could you imagine being the people who thought he was not guilty? They didn't tell us about the others till after the verdict.

Anyway, not weighing at the moment as feel like a bloated warthog. Dunno if the scale will tell me that but will avoid it for now as don't want to be discouraged. Something is making me bloated and have a very sore feeling in my mouth, almost like its raw. It must be something I am eating - don't know about anyone else, but sometimes when eating something, the roof of my mouth feels like its been scratched and I cough and make extra phlem. I think nitrates are one trigger so sometimes I find cheap bacon does it. Other times its a complete mystery, like today! I'm sure its an allergy.

About magnesium, potassium, calcium ratio. From the Atkins book on Natural Health:
He recommends 250-500mg each of potassium aspartate and magnesium aspartate for muscle fatigue and cramps

Under the info about magnesium, he suggests most people are deficient and suggests 400-1,000 mcg which can be obtained via soaking in epsom salts which means the skin absorbs only what it needs and has no overdose risk (which is toilet related). He said it was very important for sleep.

Bulldog, he recommended 5gr per day of NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) to combat female hair loss.

For those suffering from PMS, he said GLA around 300mg but also had a full list.

Must run, have physio, then pilates and swimming later to celebrate freedom!

So yesterday was a bit exciting. We had a 20 minute storm that rocked our world. Cars were dented, windshields broken, trees shredded, out building has lost some of its rock siding. My house and the surrounding area are covered in pine needles. After I spoke with my friend in Denver, not too far from us, I learned they had at least one tornado in the city. That never happens. So needless to say he won. Ill post a few pics here and to make it weigh loss related I’ll say if you were in this you lost weight trying to get out of it. I was smart enough to watch from my office window. Supposed to do it again today. We’ll see what happens.

I feel skinnier today and I am wearing the same pants I did yesterday, laundry need doing. We will see if I am right on Saturday. I was ravenous before my workout last night but I did not overeat which I think I did last week around this time. Something about Wednesday’s and hunger.

Bonny-Jean - Yep that’s blond. My wife finds people often ask for something very specific and when she specifically gives them that they freak out. I don’t know how she does it. Hopefully it was what you want. When you do get what you want exactly have them record your color line and numbers so you get the same result next time. I think Ill get my back hair purple.

hi everyone!! I'm having some emotional/TOM issues myself.... but I'm not even being tempted so it's fine....just bringing me down in other ways.

Today I've had:
Breakfast: 2 pcs bacon, 2 eggs (cooked in butter), cheddar cheese
Coffee w/stevia & cream
Lunch: grilled chicken salad w/ranch, cheese, boiled egg, bacon
Snack: colby jack cheese and about 10 pepporronis...which could be bad in the sodiom dept.... luckily I've drank tons of water also.
Dinner: ? I have chicken thrawing to make for the family, I'll probably bake mine with salsa and cheese.

Think the scale is broken, stepped on after my shower this morning & it read 250; I mentioned it my DW who promptly informed me that she was still trying to sleep

BulldogMom: Our Gunner found a turtle too. We were at the local dog park & he was barking his fool head off at something near the trees. We went over for a look at spotted the turtle. Not sure how it got to the park as the river is over 2km away. Anyhow, we scooped it up & drove down to the local swamp. Thankfully, there are no gators up here to make a snack of it.
Congrats to all the losers.
You know it's strange, I know someone named "Tom" too but I never thought to mention it

Gracie, I'm not on any meds other than vitamins. Eating LC keeps me pretty healthy thankfully.

MtherGoos, I'm not sure when I go back to the dr. I will probably go on and make an apt with the gyn just to see what she thinks.

James, those are some amazing pics! I'm glad everyone is okay! But I'm one of those people who get fascinated with bad weather.

CdnPaleoGuy, I was initially worried that our Gunner had found a snake by the way he was barking and jumping. So glad it was just a couple of turtles.

supper- sauted some red bell pepper and onion in butter then added eggs scrambled. wasn't that hungry but I Knew if I didn't eat something then i'd be straved later Lol

I knew there had to be a bounce sometime. But I will take that verses a hail storm or tornado! I do not miss NE weather uncertainty.

Congratulations on all the drops! I am so happy to see the scale moving and look forward to following along as maintenance begins. What a learning experience for us all.

Well I decided to start on the next leg of my journey a little sooner than I planned. Thanks to a friend of mine we joined a gym. Tomorrow is our first workout day so wish me luck. I am hopeful that I can build up a little muscle definition to help with the saggy skin.

I will not weigh again till Monday morning when I have had a real nights sleep. I look forward to seeing goals met over the weekend.

Firstly, I am very happy with your positive results. On the other hand, sorry it didn't pinpoint the problem for you. I had been looking for any reason under the sun to blame for my weight so I wouldn't have to blame the carbs but in my case, it was the carbs!

Bonny, how did your pedi and tan go???

I had something of a NSV today I think. I've mentioned before that the town we live is actually a fairly small town, and there aren't many places to shop. So I do a lot of ordering online, or shopping when I travel. Anyway, one of my favorite stores was having their clearance sale to clear out some of their winter clothes. I ordered about 5 shirts for winter because they were really cheap. I ordered everything in a medium. I figured if they didn't fir yet, they would by winter. Most of them were too big!!! Even when I'm thin, I still usually wear a large shirt because I'm big busted and I have a LOT of loose skin on my arms. But most of these shirts were baggy on me! Who would have thought it??? Very happy!

WTG Mother Goose

I had a great workout tonight. I found Metallica really pumps me up while I am pumping up. I was able to do cardio which I have not been able to do well over a week because my legs not recovering from weights.

Anyway, ate on plan, good workout, looking forward to Friday.

O yeah, dont know if my cars are damaged. I need to make a point to check tomorrow.

Still under 150 so I am still maintaining, it seems I am able to eat lots of fruit at the moment, so that is a nice surprise as last time it made the scale go off the charts, bean casserole made me shoot way up but then it came down again.....chicken salad with lots of peppers tom onions etc seems to make me drop a bit....I am finding it really interesting watching and learning...I haven't tried rice pasta or bread, but who wants to eat those anyway....nasty poisonous things lol, although I do like them but my weight is to important.....

I'm pleased with my losses for this month so far. I still have a week to go and I'm hoping for a few more pounds.

I'm wondering if my losses would pick up if I'd increase my water intake. It is a struggle for me to get that in!! I'm talking like sometimes I only drink 32 oz and even that is me forcing myself to drink that! Have any of you noticed a difference in your weight drop by how much you are drinking?

Morning All

Wow, where to begin. Such amazing scale victories so far this month!!
Leaane, Kimber and Candy... excellent! Some serious losses already for you girls! KUTGW ladies.

KIMBER: Don't be in too much of a rush! You don't wanna lose TOO quickly. Think of the long run and the sustainability of your woe. You don't wanna wind up a skinny bag of skin and wrinkles my girl!! Think of this journey as "this is how I eat everyday" rather than how can I tweak this woe to work even faster! You're doing very well so easy does it my friend!

Mthergoos: Any NSV is uplifting. I love hearing all your good news you share. I live vicariously thru you!!!

Sandy: Way to go working on that maintenance!! I envy you that you're working on adding the fruit. Can't wait to try some raspberries... my favourite!! It must be somewhat interesting experimenting and trying things out, eh?
Maybe we'd get whistles if we drive slowly by the nursing homes??

Mthergoos and Sandy: Hmm, the tan. Well, probably wouldn't get one again cause even after drying the skin with this skinny little hose and weak air coming out, it took hours to dry and everytime something touched my skin it took it off. You can't shower for 8 hrs to remove the "excess" and after showing 50% of the color was gone!!! If I ever did it again, it would just be my legs and NEVER do it the same day you have an event!!
I had some color on my face and when it was first bleached out my hair, I said I looked like Eminem's Mom but after the tan, I looked like more George Hamilton.

Today me and cuz (Gwen) are off to our annual pilgrimage to our family's graveside to pay our respects and do some maintenance to the headstones and whatever need be. Have to do some major grocery shopping as she's a vegetarian and there's nothing in my house but meat and eggs! Maybe we can go out for supper, order one meal and split it. I'll take the meat and she can have everything else!!

Looks like we've gone from late winter to mid summer. Some ugly hot days starting today at 80 and 88F tomorrow. Ooooooo, too hot for me!!!
Sounds like a good day to experiment with the LC Pina Colada on the deck tonight.

My scale follows the principle of JUDD and today is an up day it seems. LOL I made a new recipe called Pork Rind Pancakes, which tasted better than it sounds. The only ingredient that I normally don't eat is the pork rinds themselves which always cause a jump in weight because of the high sodium. I had already prepared myself for an increase on the scale so I'm good.

I can't contain my excitement, but I'm going to be taking a paddle boarding lesson next weekend!!! My friend that is going with me is an aspiring model/actress so I must be crazy to be seen in a bathing suit next to her. LOL She is awesome so it'll be fun.
