Well, thanks Sandy but sadly it was 2, now 1. (sigh). Yep, that's actually what the arbor is. Can't decide whether to grow blue morning glory or yellow rose vines on it. My house has dark blue trim so maybe the morning glory.

Bonny what a difference....you have done amazing in three years, it even looks like you have moved the garage lol, your house is adorable, your porch is so nice and you have done really well with your flower beds, you wouldn't think it was the same house.....I love porches, we don't have one over here, I don't think its an English thing as most houses don't have them.....now I am envious as I want a porch lol, nothing like drinking a nice cold beer on a lovely porch lol....thanks for sharing your pics and oh my gosh your arbour is going to look incredible, I would go with a climbing rose or clematis as they will come back every year, I do love morning glory but would definitely go with one of the others, it is going to look awesome, we will want more pics when it is covered with flowers.

I don't know what's going on but I have been starving. So I stayed on plan but ate way to much food. I am full and going to take a nap as I have a big day planned with my 8 year old and I have tonight off. I am hopeful that the scale might move a little in the morning. I hope not up!

5/14: 131.2 Wow that's a HUGE difference. I weighed four times to be sure.

Did a one day fast/cleanse and it seems to have made a HUGE difference. I guess I am getting, ahem, "backed up" and retaining water. Which is weird,as I take plenty of fiber and magnesium, and I don't consume much sodium. Go figure! At any rate, I am sure my weight will bounce back up, but not to 136-137. "Two steps forward, one step back" is still progress. Slow and steady wins the race!

Nice drops everyone! I think we've made the decision to go to Disneyworld in October. I need to buckle down and get as close to goal as possible. It will be the first big family vacation with the kids so I know there'll be lots of pics. I want to be happy with what I see and not try to avoid the camera.

Leanne, Be more stubborn than that scale. It took me over a week to get those numbers moving again.

Bonny-Jean, I love what you've done with your house! It looks so much more friendly and warm.

I'm love seeing everyone's furkids!

Here's my Daisy - good AND bad
She's a rescue from a high kill shelter in South Carolina. My sister adopted Daisy's sister and i adopted Daisy, sight unseen. They didn't tell me that she has Gumby legs (bad dysplasia) and she's still a little rough around the edges. But I'm working on her!!

bad daisy is not for the squeamish! if you're familiar with dogshaming.com, you might think that it's funny.

DQ, Hilarious!! I love the dog shaming pics. One of the reasons Gunner was surrendered, according to his previous family, was because he kept eating the woman's underwear. Thankfully we haven't had that issue here. LOL

Hi Shelly thought I would wave hi to you while you are just sitting there bored lol, I am in between cooking dinner and playing on my laptop....it sounds like a fairly nice afternoon though with visiting your gran and catching up on phone calls, you even got dinner lol, I really hope those scales move for you soon, although Mthrgoos goes through times like this when nothing moves for a while, you are definitely overdue for a whoosh.

Hi everyone, sorry for the quick post, have been on jury duty this week and they don't have wifi!

Not off to a good week, up to 78 and have no idea why...

Loose skin. That doc must be on something... The skin never retracts once it develops fissures from being stretched. Yes, slow weight loss can help, exercise can tone, but neither can sort out skin stretched. Even when i went from 200lbs down to a US 4, i had a full apron (your belly part) which hung down to my legs, my boobs were empty sacks, my arms waved to each other. There was no fat attached to this skin - you could feel the layers through it and there was nothing inbetween. It looks like pizza dough. Only surgery to remove this would have any effect. I probably spent more time shoving myself into various wrappings than I spent at the gym trying to contain all the skin so it wasn't seen. Some people have great skin with extra collagen which can retract back, but the vast majority of us will be left with extra skin.

Fat fast. Atkins said you could use pecans or macadamia nuts (raw, not roasted) as they have very few carbs and are super high in fat. My fav recipe was to fry some in butter with a touch of himilayan salt, stevia and touch of cinnamon. Other fat fast ideas: peanut butter mixed with cream cheese; tuna with lotsa mayo; bullet proof coffee: sugar free jello with cream, etc. someone wrote a book on amazon of fat fast recipes.

Coconut bark recipe. Ive got a few from the boards here:

One called Blondie which is made with peanut butter, butter, coconut oil and cream cheese.

Another made like reese peanut butter cups - cocoa powder, stevia, coconut oil, butter mixed; peanut butter, butter and cream cheese; take half of the cocoa mix and put in your container, allow to harden then top with the peanut mix and top that with the remaining cocoa mix and refridgerate.

Lastly, the one i tried last night - lemon, omg amazing! Coconut oil, butter, cream cheese, sour cream, lemon juice (I also added dessicated coconut and lemon zest) you can find the extact ratios on the food porn boards.

I have a slightly non-induction one too - cocoa powder, coconut oil, butter, handful frozen raspberries broken into pieces, handful of slithered toasted almonds - place the berries and almonds in container, mix the other ingredients together and warm through, add some almond flavouring, stevia, salt, mix well till starts to thicken then pour over the berries and top with handful of toasted coconut.

Need for salt - yes Phinney et al discuss why we need extra salt compared to a high carb and how deficiency in salt can cause cramps, tiredness, exercise intolerance etc.

Sleep - definitely give magnesium a go, try the spray oil form which is better absorbed.

Sorry, am sure there were so many other things I meant to write but my mind is fried from doing nothing at jury duty!!!

Love the doggy pics. In case anyone here is a cat person, here are a couple of my kids

Tiggy, So glad you were able to make a quick post! I LOVE your kitty! I've always wanted a Persian. But our current cat who is 19 yrs old and seems to have 20 lives, is keeping us from getting any more cats. He tolerates dogs but isn't so much a fan of other felines.

Thanks for those fat fast recipes and ideas. I might have to go hunt down that book on Amazon.

Hi everyone Had to take DS to Orthopedic doctor again today to be rechecked. The PT isn't working so he is scheduled for a bone scan tomorrow morning at the hospital. I guess they have to inject him with dye and then 2-5 hours later do the scan. They are just trying to rule out a stress fracture near his shin. It's either that or really bad shin splints.

I had the yummiest salad for lunch. It was grilled chicken cobb with bacon/hb eggs. I used blue cheese dressing. Then for a quick little dessert I rolled up some cream cheese into balls and put into sf jello powder (thanks MG!!!) We will probably go out to dinner for my birthday - 42 today!! I swear I just graduated high school!!!

I will weigh on Friday for an update.

Lots of great posts here in the last few days!! I have to catch up on some work but I will try to come back later.

Gracie! Trust you'll be spoiled rotten celebrating
Geez, I was still chasing around a 2 yr old when I was your age...time flies.
Thanks for the tip about adding pics; funny how that paper clip has been staring me in the face & I haven't bothered to see what it will do.
Anyhow, attached is a pic of our rescued SH*T. SH*T standing for super high intensity terrier
We rescued him about 7 yrs ago after our last JRT died of kidney failure. He was about 3 when we got him & the folks who had him had teens who played Halo hence the name. I often call him 'turkey' at the local dog park when he decides to ignore direction.
Another interesting (to us) tidbit; about 2 yrs ago he started having little episodes where he looked drunk, had trouble staying on his feet etc. After mentioning it to the Vet & their offer of medication, we took a quick look on the net & decided to switch his diet from Beneful to another brand that doesn't have any of that filler crap. No more seizures

Sweet boy, CPG! Thank you for saving him! It's amazing the garbage that's in some kibble. After severe skin conditions, I now only feed mine small amounts of cooked meat/s and supplement with Ori-Jen 6 fish. My personal opinion is that is it one of the "best" kibbles on the market. JMHO.

DS didn't get out of that test until an Hour after they were scheduled to! Apparently they waited for almost an Hour for a girl to show up to take the test! Lovely! Not! I sat in the truck waiting for an hour and half!
Had a salad from subway for lunch. Not much else to choose from. Got a super Yum looking Pork roast in the oven

I had an unusual dinner last night, sausages and salad lol, I haven't had that before, but you know what, it was lovely lol.....
Shelly that was crazy that they waited an hour for someone to show for that test, normally they wouldn't do that would they....I think exams are nerve wracking enough without waiting an extra hour, poor kids......

Hope everyone has a great day with sunshine and losses.....

May 15 160!!!! I got to sleep at night and weigh in, in the morning.

Even after all the food I have been packing in after my "fast" which didn't go so well. all it took was one night of not even great sleep to get rid of extra fluid that has been hindering my weight loss over the last week.
I am happy for the whoosh.
The month is going by so quickly I am still trying for another 5 lbs this family is coming to town.

I just got Dana Carpender's book 1001 low carb recipes. I am hoping for new ideas for the rest of the family to eat as well for myself. I am addicted to Amazon.

Has anyone tried miracle noodles? I remember having them in the past but I was counting calories not carbs so I do not know how they will effect me.
