Happy weekend eve!!! I'm staying on plan and just got done making revolution rolls with mayo. I made 2 batches. One with vanilla and splenda (sweet) and one with salt and grated parmesan cheese (savory). So far today I've had coffee/almond milk/hwc/splenda for breakfast and lunch was McDonald's (don't judge ) double quarter pounder with cheese, no bun, no ketcup.

I'm not weighing until I feel better. I went to the doctor today and saw the P.A. - she said my ear isn't infected YET But she believes I have a sinus infection but they don't treat with antibiotics anymore. So she gave me Rx nasal spray, allergy meds with a decongestant. I have Amoxycillin here so if it doesn't start to feel better I am going to take it. Last year I started with my ear hurting and ended up with a full blown upper respiratory infection because they didn't give me antibiotics. I understand totally they are being stingy with them, but if you need them, you need them!!!

Back from the Dr. He was blown away by my 16lb drop (according to his scales)!! There was NO mention of surgery today! I have to go back in 6 weeks and I would LOVE to drop 30lbs by then --- but I'm not going to try to force it. I'm going to keep on doing what I'm doing and take they losses as they come and be happy with them.

I just took my before pic (sure wish I would have done that on day 1). I'm tucking that thing away and not pulling it out again until I'm below 200!! Even tho I feel so much better now than I did at 330lbs I sure was NOT impressed with what the camera showed me!!

Aline Thank you for your support! I look forward to getting to know you and cheering you on in your journey. We can do this!!

Way to go Kimber! It's always nice when we can pleasantly surprise our doctors, and sometimes even win some of them over to our way of thinking!

I have to say, I'm noticing lately that I'm really HUNGRY. Not just mental hunger, but honest to goodness stomach growling hunger. Why is that? I'm not exercising, I'm eating the same exact things I have been. I don't understand why, now that I'm so close to goal, I'm wanting to eat more. I'm not doing it, but I definitely want to. I almost feel like my own body is trying to sabotage me! LOL

Thank you!!! I actually have some Amox left over from July of last year - enough for about 7 days. I am going to take it if I don't feel any better. I think because of all the hype on the news now that antibiotics aren't working because of overuse. People are becoming immune to them.

The revolution rolls were I believe in the original Atkins 72 book. I sub out cottage cheese for mayo.

3 eggs
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3 tbs mayo (or cottage cheese, or sour cream, or cream cheese)
1 packet splenda

You separate the whites from the yolks and put in 2 separate bowls. You add the cream of tartar to the whites. Then you add the mayo, splenda, and I add a little vanilla to the yolks.

Beat the whites until they are stiff - usually 3 minutes. Then mix the yolk mixture. Take a spatula and fold the yolk mixture into the whites. Then place on baking sheet covered in parchment paper or sprayed really good with non-stick spray. Make 6 mounds about 2" high. Cook on 300 deg. for about 30 minutes.

I also make a savory one where instead of splenda I add salt and some shredded parmesan cheese. They are really good and induction friendly. I use them for sandwiches, toast, and desserts. Once I used sugar-free raspberry preserves on them with whipped cream I've also seen people who add a spoonful of cream cheese on the top and it makes a danish.

LOL! Thanks Gracie, nice to know it isn't just me. I know we're supposed to eat when we're hungry, there's no reason to actually go hungry, but I'm trying to figure out why I'm hungrier now that I weigh less than I have been the last few months. I know I'm in Ketosis, I never eat anything to take me out of ketosis, and I measure my blood ketones, so that's definitely not the problem. Maybe there is no reason and my body is just being stupid.

I'm thinking crushed ice, coconut milk or Silk, unsweetened pineapple, Splenda thrown in the blender for awhile but I'm sure I can find something online?? I'm sure it won't taste as good but might taste good enough!!

Gracie: That's a miserable thing to have. Not sure how they expect a bacterial infection to heal on it's own?? I don't know if you've used cortisone steroid nasal spray before but they can be a god send. They work for me. All the best getting over this very soon.

Kimber: That's so good to hear!! I hope Atkins is the road you take and not other options. You do this for yourself and you will be rewarded. This can be painfully slow sometimes but the slowest losses stick the longest so just do things one day at a time and you'll be shocked when you look back and really see how much has gone. Many good wishes and blessing for your success!!

and you Mthergoos: You may be the only person that I'm constantly at a loss to express my utter amazement and admiration for. Your journey is incredible and I think you could/should be credited for changing a few lives for sure. I, for one, would never be where I am if it wasn't for you and a few other incredible people on this thread (you know who you are). I have thought a time or two if it wasn't for yourself and others here, I would have quit long time ago. I'm totally serious. I've dieted a couple of times and never stuck with anything this long. I am grateful to you, inspired by you, emulate you.... WANNA BE YOU!!!! I thank you from the bottom of heart for helping me become the new person I am.

Late start...

I am late starting this challenge but started yesterday. I enjoy following everyone's posts it helps a lot! Starting weight was 123.8
Yesterday, I had an egg, and egg white omelette at about 11am.
Lunch was grilled ribeye at about 3pm.
I finally ate a third meal of 2 fried eggs & bacon at 9:30pm.

Weight was 120.2 today so was very much encouraged!

I had lunch of 7 wings grilled with Franks hot wing sauce.
Mid-day meal was pork bfast sausages and 2 fried eggs.
Not sure what my evening meal will be just yet!

My meals are not on normal times as usual I have a sick toddler and it is challenging! Also, I do workout in the morning times and just don't get time to grab a meal until lunchtime usually.

Drinks are diet soda, black coffee...water of course!

Good morning everyone! Today is my company's health fair, I'm not going to compete in most fit but do have a goal of competing next year! I will partake in a seated massage and a hand scrub, blood pressure reading, and door prize drawings where every year they give away an amazing bike (cross your fingers I win the bike!)

That wasn't the extent of my upswing, unfortunately:

May 1 - 207.2
May 2 - 206.6
May 3 - 206.2
May 4 - 206.0
May 5 - 204.8
May 6 - 204.4
May 7 - 204.0
May 8 - 204.2
May 9 - 204.6 FOOEY!

Hopefully THAT is the extent! The upside, I'm still under 205. Downside, even though it happens every week to 10 days it still makes me waver and I have to struggle through the day. So far I've been able to and I fully intend to be able to today, it's still frustrating though. I don't know what I'd do if I hadn't discovered this message board, the support I get is second to none.

I am so glad it's Friday! Sister date tomorrow! Can't wait!

Have a great day everyone!

Wow what a difference for me it has been to cut out that HWC and those flavored waters!!! Definitely worth it for sure

I thought I was going to gain or stay the same. I bought some new skin care products to help with my rosacea and I'm obviously allergic to it. My face and eyelids are all swollen and puffy and red. So now what?!

Hope everyone has some good losses today!! Hope all that are trying to maintain do!

cristress. Your menu looks good. KUTGW

Sandy: hoping things will work themselves out soon for you.

Candy: don't sweat the ounces. The pounds are going and that's all that counts. Some scales don't even show the decimal so no worries!

Kimber: nice job there! Your doing amazing. Just think where you'll be next month!

Shelly: have you found any new foods that are stalling you or is there something that spikes the scale?? Is there a food you know you can't have regularly anymore? The thought of maintenance kinda scares me.
